True. But those killing machines have also kept us safe. Where should one draw the line? Note: I am not just trying to be contrarian, I am actually interested in the discussion. Its an issue I wrestle with often.

can you tell me a time one of those killing machines kept “us” safe? unless you were on foreign soil already as a soldier or something similar no fighter jet has ever protected you or your loved ones on us soil.

Killing machines like these keep Ukrainians safe(ish) every day. Not saying they would be used for good in the hands of the current US regime, but unfortunately, machines like these are a necessary evil. Europe is ramping up defense production for that very reason.

What have they done in the Middle East? Specifically their use by Israel’s genocide and the US in the failed wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? I would say that Ukraine does have somewhere of a use case for fighter jets; however, it’s done very little good and they should have had them day 1.

Don't want to sound too much like NRA, but is all about who uses them and to what end. But given the current admin and the fact that they control who uses these weapons, you could shut down Boing tomorrow for all I care. But I wouldn't go so far as to say producing weapons is inherently bad/evil.

Can't remember if Boeing makes Ospreys but if they do those things have killed more US soldiers in the last 20 years than just about any other weapon platform.
