My point is that it would have made absolutely no difference if we had remain as I wished. We are pretty united with most of the EU regarding Ukraine and the EU wasn't a military organisation. The problem other than the obvious one of Russian aggression is Trump but Biden didn't do much either.

The initial Russian invasion of Crimea occurred before 2016 and the fact that we were in the EU made no difference.

agreed: putin would STILL have attacked NATO & EU as he detests them so: my point still stands though, Starmer has nothing to offer, other than tea & sympathy, & that's meagre at best, IN PART, because of our weakend international standing; BREXIT isn't only about £££ it's damaged relationships

Sorry fully aware of the damage done by Brexit but I fail to see what difference it has made to the EU's or our ability or willingness to respond to Russia. We aren't militarily weaker since 2016. We have relied on the US since 1945 and now with Trump they are probably more aligned to Russia.
