There might be a bit of tax revenue but it's not really our oil or gas. It would be sold by the oil company on the open market, probably not come to the UK, and make no difference to the overall world oil supply or the price paid by our energy suppliers or us for gas and electricity.

These are the kind of people whose votes Starmer is chasing. Repugnant shit.

Technically correct but not many would consider the Thames as the sea. I prefer due east via Chelmsford and Maldon. Not many Abduls for him to be free of in that direction and even the racist bigots mostly live to the south of Essex, Clacton excepted.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Can't imagine what Alex would make of me. Tend to bake my own bread. Having said that plenty of white bread available this morning in that cathedral of wokedom Waitrose.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
And yes I know if it's before 61 Greaves was a Chelsea or AC Milan player.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
And incidentally why do you ask a question and then attempt to insult anyone who answers? I suspect you are an arrogant twat.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Please tell me what ground the picture - it's not a photo - is of. That looks to be the East Stand - The Shelf- at WHL. It very definitely isn't a "picture" of any stand that existed at Wembley. I guess you accept it is Greaves and Smith even if the are "pictured" in England strips.

Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
So you formed an opinion! I think she is talking about people like you that can't look at individual issues separately. Perhaps you aren't misogynistic but you are acting like one.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
22 not 27!
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
He has had a few good seasons. You've paid more for a much older player. Glad your happy. We are to.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
But public school educated city boy Farage is. 😂
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Who said they did? The papers and social media? We can't know but suggest you learn to spell his name. One thing for certain Spurs interest meant you had to pay more for a player you let go for nothing as a kid and who said all along he wanted to go to you.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
It is but it makes it doubly worrying that we may get Farage despite a clear majority not liking him or what he stands for.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
But we don't have a presidential system, not that it would necesarily be a good thing. The winning party doesn't need anything like a majority.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I guess you are much younger and don't remember the same or worse happening to likes of Kinnock. Milliband was even lampooned over his kitchen and a bacon sandwich. It really hasn't changed other than the papers being far less influential.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
We no longer have prominent working class voices to combat the simple solutions and immigrant bashing from Reform and the Tories. Labour are all at sea and the left of centre vote is being carved up. I don't claim to have an answer and fear we are heading for a Reform govt.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
And whilst Reform are undoubtedly getting support from all quarters Labour are losing it to the Greens, Lib Dem's and potentially Corbyn. Labour are foolishly trying to appeal to the right wing working class.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I'm referring to data from 2019! I'm no Starmer fan but we aren't talking about the last year. Left wing support is now the young and more educated not the working class to the extent that one still exists post Thatcher.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
The media always have but whether you like it or not racism is a factor and the Tories and now Reform offer simple (but wrong) solutions and blame immigrants for much of the poor's problems. We no longer have a true unionised working class to combat that so the right wing support has increased.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I have a theory as to why but you wouldn't like it. I'm now a left leaning middle class pensioner but from a working class background.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Labour did lose the working class. Their support came from the young and the better educated. That doesn't mean their policies under Corbyn wouldn't have benefited the working class but for whatever reason more voted Tory than Labour in 2019. Reform are now capturing much of that vote.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
We did go out for a meal last night!
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I was invited by another Spurs fan to a Spurs game at Old Trafford during the Fergie years. Price to pay (other than losing) was having to listen all the way there to a Utd fan. He didn't like it when I told him he should worry when Fergie goes as it will be the same as when Busby went. I was right.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
You only added "off the field stuff" as an after thought having been far more concerned about his playing ability. Arsenal were a supporting someone accused of being a rapist for years and you were happy with that it seems. Are you a rapist or do you just condone it?
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
12 days and no games. Spurs would have received assurances or they wouldn't have signed him. Arsenal clearly didn't receive assurances and played Partey for years. Really very, very different don't you think.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
12 days and zero games when they had no doubt been assured the case was going to be dropped. Spurs would have been crazy to sign a player who could be arrested. How many games did Partey play whilst not being cleared?
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I checked your timeline pal! You seemed to have far more concern about his playing ability than serious allegation. Want to withdraw your incorrect statement that Spurs played a suspected rapist as Arsenal did for years! Guess not.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
And you seem to have only been concerned about his age, form and injuries before.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I do agree that the investigation should have been much quicker. Maybe we will find out why it took so long when it goes to court
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Would you be happy fir your wife or daughter to work alongside someone suspected of rape?
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
It's perfectly legal to suspend someone (as in send them home) pending an investigation. You wouldn't allow someone in your premises if they were being investigated for say fraud and I assume females are employed at Arsenal but they allowed him on their premises.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
You obviously don't know he was a Brighton player then and Spurs didn't sign him until he was cleared of all allegations. Bit different!
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I don't disagree but we've all known it was him that was accused for years and Arsenal were happy to keep him. How strange he went at the very stage he was arrested.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Two words - Thomas Partey.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Assume you don't mean Charlton as it says it's him. Lots is the answer but if you mean that cover there's Greaves and Smith behind Charlton and the ground is White Hart Lane.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
My ticket says we are at home! COYS😂
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I'd only criticise you for repeating the illegal line. Guess I don't need to repeat that claiming asylum (however you get here) isn't illegal.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
6th (revised later to 5th) was enough for Woolwich's promotion. We definitely can't sing that.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
At present they are just keeping the seat warm for Farage and he will just mirror Trump. Troops on street etc. I really don't think our unwritten constitution will do any better than the USA in combatting an authoritarian's ambitions.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
So you appear to agree that refugees should be deported to Afghanistan. Frankly I don't care for any party that supports that. You will not appeal to young left of centre people (or old ones) with the current rhetoric on immigration. They need to be more outspoken on Israel and Trump too.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
And you really think the same people won't be fooled again particularly if not presented with details as to why it can't work? Some will always go for the seemingly simple answer so you need to convince as many of the rest.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Did you say the same before the Brexit vote? Didn't Democrats think something similar?
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Labour are actually agreeing that you can deport people to Afghanistan in theory at least. They are doing their level best to split those in opposition to Reform. Some will go Green, some Lib Dem and some to Corbyn's party. I can't vote Labour if they agree with Reform!
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Don't stupid? Labour had lost my vote but are now doing their best never to get it back despite supporting them for nearly 50 years. I'm not alone, have you seen the polls? Farage will walk it because the left are being carved up and Labour don't seem to care.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
"Pushed on whether it would be a good idea to sign a returns deal with Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, as Farage has suggested, Downing Street said: “We’re not going to take anything off the table in terms of striking returns agreements with countries around the world." So Labour approve!
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
So the idea that you would pay the Taliban and deport people to Afghanistan shouldn't be challenged?
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
And Glenn gave the Dutch old master a lesson.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
And people question why the flag is associated with right wing thuggery and racism. Those putting up flags on street lamps will often share the same sentiment in places like Basildon. BTW I grew up in Basildon and it was my wife's neighbourhood shops.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
It is and pleased to see he's been arrested.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Hopefully it will still be there after they are long gone. I went there as part of my stag night 37 years ago!
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Measures to prevent any impression of interference but the report itself only refers to "the appearance of" rather than actual. I repeat the govt would have been made to want this outcome.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Maybe but that would play into the MAGA idiots hands.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
None of which indicates either pressure in the court or tat the court would be influenced. Fortunately we aren't America with its politically appointed judges. I repeat the act should have been amended.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
And what on earth was/is Trump? She seems to have been spot on in in her accusations. Maybe she wasn't perfect and Biden should have stepped aside earlier but I'm dumbfounded that Americans thought the solution was to vote for Trump.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I would blame them for not introducing legislation to overturn the faulty act that the court ruled on but don't think you've got any evidence of political interference or that the court could be influenced. It's created a ridiculous situation so asking for it would have been nuts.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Along I assume with Lords who inherited their land because their ancestors were mates of William the Conqueror when he stole it in the first place.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
And you've seemingly given the Crown a free pass too
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I guess two counts as multiple but it's really not complex. The council properties were sold off and not replaced and many are now in the hands of private landlords. Meanwhile some developers are happy to build luxury flats that are never occupied.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
What is the freehold point? Of course the Crown Estate own the freehold. The reason believe it or not is William the Conqueror. There are plenty of vacant properties so one seaside apartment isn't an issue. Property bought purely for investment is and a lack of council house building is too.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Don't know about all of his followers but suspect Farage would like to follow Trump and do away with many of theses rights and is just using the immigration as his reason for leaving.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Try again. Not really socialist, not third home, not a million and govt not confiscating homes. She is deputy PM though.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Nope. Good luck to him but not sorry he left and Frank is showing what being adaptable can achieve.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
If you say so. I don't agree but then my view of the Spurs ground is from on the South Stand rather than the television.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
It doesn't really and it's smaller. Their and our old ones did though particularly before we rebuilt much of it. Archibald Leitch.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent

Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent

Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I'm not a bot and not Ksbour any more but you are obviously unable to focus on the subject in hand. I have views on the topics you raise but they aren't being discussed here. Bye
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
I rather think it's you who have introduced another point entirely. Any thoughts on the subject everyone else here is commenting on?
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
So you are saying someone from a working class background who has done well has to pretend they haven't. Stupid comment.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Saw the headlines on the BBC app. Mail and Sun on the case too. Ridiculous saying she has 3 houses. One is a grace and favour in Westminstet, so not hers at all, one is in her constituency and she's bought a seaside apartment like many do. So what!

Chaos? Alternative headline. Player prefers to go to boyhood club.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
That's rather the point. As a minimum each organisation should be separately debated and voted on. The Terrorism Act also needs overhauling. Severe damage was blowing up buildings and qualified as Terrorism in isolation without a risk to life as warnings were sometimes given.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
So how do you propose he sorts it? Perhaps he should buy Palace a replacement!

On the basis of the known information they shouldn't be proscribed and poorly worded legislation originally intended to apply to the likes of the IRA is being exploited. However this report is dated March and they weren't proscribed until after the June incident. So no it doesn't.

And by the way Beckham got a knighthood not a political role.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Ah we've got to it at last. "Badenoch herself has been praised by Davies for “pushing back against woke” and defending single-sex spaces". So nothing to do with what she achieved, not that you appear to even know what it was.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
You don't even seem to realise she was a swimmer. Athletics! Badenoch hasn't nominated her for swimming or any tv work as that was also years ago. She has become high profile for one thing recently and you do of course know full well what that is.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
She was so why now when she hasn't competed for over 30 years. Is it for services to transphobia?
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
Sorry fully aware of the damage done by Brexit but I fail to see what difference it has made to the EU's or our ability or willingness to respond to Russia. We aren't militarily weaker since 2016. We have relied on the US since 1945 and now with Trump they are probably more aligned to Russia.
Gary Pitt (@pittgary.bsky.social) reply parent
The initial Russian invasion of Crimea occurred before 2016 and the fact that we were in the EU made no difference.
