Why would you disable them? I didn’t even know you could until now.

Can be. In Texas, several people have said they disable it because of Alerts to look for someone that injured a police officer. Sent to the entire state, not just where it happened.

I live in Ontario, Canada. I have only ever gotten Amber Alerts and severe weather warnings. 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe one every 6 months?
