Since when is the RAF 'a hedge fund'? And the military repairing planes by replacing wrecked engines is a thing, right? And the suffragettes, poll tax and corn were about things in the UK .. not a faraway war between other countries?

Just checking, but how about the Suffragettes, the Poll Tax and Corn Law rioters? How about the Tolpuddle Martyrs?
Remind me .. were those in the name of situations in the UK .. or in the name of far away wars in foreign lands?
Remind me....is genocide less of an issue if it's not here?

Millions of £ of damage claimed, rapid repair, wow
How much do you think aircraft engines cost? How long do you think it takes to replace an engine on a plane?
bsky.app/profile/jdpo... Thoughts?
reports are, back in the air in days
A war of oppression that our planes, military know how, intelligence, training are being used to enable. It is our business, and has been ever since the British held the Mandate in the interwar period & laid the ground for the Israeli state. Colonialism has consequences.
Exactly, why are planes owned by a private hedge fund on an RAF base? And do you believe we should only care about things that directly affect us? I presume you think Ghandi and Mandela should still be classed as terrorists
The planes are an example of critical state functions and assets being outsourced (PFI, cf. our NHS). Death by privatisation. It's an indicator of how corrupt the UK has become. Crews are RAF. Mandela? Are you seriously trying to conflate the UK with apartheid era South Africa?
Tbf, both the UK government and the apartheid regime in South Africa would imprison people for supporting Palestine, so the comparison is apt.
I am illustrating how some people seem to approve of all protests except for the current ones
Are you seriously saying that people who oppose the UK participating in an ongoing genocide are terrorists?
I'm saying 'the law defines people infiltrating RAF bases to sabotage RAF planes as that'. The response to me daring to point that simple fact out has been .. unsurprising.
The planes weren't owned by the RAF, so the 'crime' was criminal damage.
Read the legal definition of terrorism. As for the planes .. they are leased by the RAF, flown by RAF crews, used by operationally by the RAF and were stationed on an RAF base. So the 'but not RAF' is a feeble excuse.
The one that states ‘…violence or intimidation or coercion of populations of governments’
That is UN guidance .. I referred to UK law www.cps.gov.uk/crime-info/t...
I don't see how throwing a bit of paint about fits any of criteria.
Under UN guidance, Yvette Cooper can at least say they ‘intimated the government’
Yet those that have defined terrorist acts, don’t believe Palestine Action should be classed as a terrorist organisation
The only similar case to this was the Fairford Five and they were charged with criminal damage. What's the difference?
Legal changes aside .. and the fact that was an attack on US military assets, not UK military assets .. the main difference is that close on 25 years have passed the world has changed and we now have a resurgent Russia (allied with Iran, N Korea, China) openly trying to destabilise Europe.
lmfao buddy Russia can't even deal with Ukraine, their air force is getting absolutely shredded by Ukrainian drones, what are you gibbering about? resurgent how? apparently the RAF is crippled by 'paint' but Russia is powering through their planes exploding on runways this is from yesterday >
Russia is on its arse, Iran is reacting to Israeli provocation and there is no heightened military threat from N Korea or China. This was the action of an authoritarian government to silence dissent.
Russia recently destabilised the US .. purely using hybrid warfare, propaganda and 'useful idiots' .. much as he successfully wrecked the UK a few years earlier by Brexiting us .. I really doubt Putin thinks he's losing. China, Iran and N Korea are also actively using hybrid warfare against Europe.
Well said!
Of whom starmer defended one, successfully.
There is no legal definition of terrorism.
At least that’s what I just heard on Novara live. Feel free to correct me Peter and tell us all how non violent actions meet the criteria.
Yes. We directly aid a genocidal, Apartheid regime. Directly. Have you read any of Matt Kennard’s findings on this? Do you know who he is?
He’s a stellar journalist. You should have a listen or a read. Seriously.
