Read the legal definition of terrorism. As for the planes .. they are leased by the RAF, flown by RAF crews, used by operationally by the RAF and were stationed on an RAF base. So the 'but not RAF' is a feeble excuse.

Not just just 'splash paint on' .. they threw stuff (maybe just 'paint', maybe more) into the engines of RAF aircraft that they had specifically targeted in order to wreck the aircraft.
Remind me again which organisation it was that .. targeted specific RAF assets, located those assets, then attacked an RAF base to deliberately wreck those assets. How would you designate such actions and such an organisation?
