To form an honest, well informed opinion, one needs to consider all relevant facts. You don’t seem to realize that the autopen has been used for decades—even by Trump. This in no way is relevant to political authoritarianism and many presidents have used it.

I’m honestly not trying to play word games. There’s a real difference in a government that is eroding due process and whether or not we agree on issues such as gender. People can debate gender within a democracy, but due process and election results are fundamental to our republic.

DC is a federal district to begin with. I don't know how you can argue that it was safe for the local citizens before or the fact that it is much safer now. The people living there are happy with it. The most recent poll shows 79% of DC residents are opposed to it. If the poll is off by 10% that’s still a decent majority. You’re right about this being legal, but DT has only mentioned future application of this to blue cities, not red ones with equal crime, so his motives are obvious.

Yes, it is authoritarian to enforce laws. The SCOTUS has been ruling in a manner that indicates that Trump is within the law on the whole. I don't see any indication that Trump wants to be a dictator or king as you guys lied about.

He seems to defy BS and then goes on to win in higher courts. Just read where the SCOTUS was cautioning lower court judges from defying THEIR rulings. Seems to balance out it contentious times. The court is another branch of government and not his boss. That's what we have Congress for.
