The more we fight each other, the more the elites are ecstatic and happy.
Obviously we sound crazy to you when we talk about impending fascism. Hopefully we’re totally wrong. But I also hope you’re willing to join us if you see it unfolding in the next year or two…
I agree. Additionally, we need to demand of democratic candidates for the presidency to express their plans for this explicitly.
The fact that he fired top military officers, generals and jag’s back in February will help the military suppression of any dissent. If he is able to rig the next mid-terms I don’t see how we avoid the new order. Perhaps only his bad health will pose a stumbling block to digital feudalism.
I hope it’s just TDS. Millions of us are terrified that the military state has started, and what will follow is you guys and the troops putting us into work camps if we don’t obey. The economy will collapse and we’ll be either murdered or put in those camps. There’s a lot of anxiety and sadness.
I have a mediocre intellect, then, because I see a growing military state and a collapsing dollar and economy. I fear you guys are going to kill a lot of us because you have the military in his hands right now. Many people are terrified and scared.

Respectfully, I’m pro due process, pro 1st Amendment, pro Constitution, pro personal liberties, pro environment, pro humor and fun, pro art and science, pro higher wage for workers, etc.
Trump’s DC troop deployment also caused a 31% drop in restaurant visits and 81% drop in foot traffic to retail business. People don’t want to go out and have fun when they’re surrounded by troops with guns.

You’re right that Baltimore is bad. I live in a red state city with a very high violent crime rate, so we’ll see if he sends troops to places like this as well before the next election. If he does then I will be surprised and admit I was wrong on this.
Plenty of cities in red states with higher violent crime rates than Chicago: Salt Lake City, Birmingham, Little Rock, Indianapolis, Tulsa, Dallas, Kansas City, Shreveport, Akron, etc. But so far he seems focused on cities in blue states. Apologies if I wasn’t as precise in my meaning before…

DT is smart to not send troops to crime-ridden cities in red states. This way red voters will be okay with the military take over of blue areas. Once he achieves that, he will extend his military control over all states and it will be too late for red voters to resist.

Do you think the president will deploy troops in all of the red cities with high rates of crime? So far he has only mentioned the blue cities, even though there are more red cities in the top 10 for high crime rates.
And—honestly—why do you think the president has only named blue cities for future military operations? If you look at the top cities for violent crime per capita, red cities outnumber the blue ones, yet he hasn’t mentioned them for NG deployment. Obviously he’s not doing this to reduce crime.

Second, if the experts for some reason said a military operation were required, I would mobilize them in both red and blue cities with high crime. Not doing this sends the message that the president is purposely stoking civil conflict.
I’m no expert in crime, so if I were the president I would first bring together a team of bipartisan experts to create a viable plan. Then I would reach out to D and R mayors to hold pressers to communicate and implement the plan in various cities to prevent any kind of divisiveness among citizens.

Ok, it turns out what has been released is what has already been available to the public. Common sense says future behavior can usually be predicted by past behavior: DT will never do anything moral if it hurts his image. If you met someone like him irl you would keep your daughters away from him.

The most recent poll shows 79% of DC residents are opposed to it. If the poll is off by 10% that’s still a decent majority. You’re right about this being legal, but DT has only mentioned future application of this to blue cities, not red ones with equal crime, so his motives are obvious.
