I’m no expert in crime, so if I were the president I would first bring together a team of bipartisan experts to create a viable plan. Then I would reach out to D and R mayors to hold pressers to communicate and implement the plan in various cities to prevent any kind of divisiveness among citizens.
Why is it that now that Donald Trump is taking back the streets of our country that now all of a sudden there’s some sort of bipartisan option out there when is the Democrats help the Republicans ever?

And—honestly—why do you think the president has only named blue cities for future military operations? If you look at the top cities for violent crime per capita, red cities outnumber the blue ones, yet he hasn’t mentioned them for NG deployment. Obviously he’s not doing this to reduce crime.

You’re right that Baltimore is bad. I live in a red state city with a very high violent crime rate, so we’ll see if he sends troops to places like this as well before the next election. If he does then I will be surprised and admit I was wrong on this.

No worries, we will not head that way. Law enforcement need backup for this undertaking so that’s all it is. One of my best friends is a retired commander from the Navy, and another is Marine. They’re 100% behind it.
Plenty of cities in red states with higher violent crime rates than Chicago: Salt Lake City, Birmingham, Little Rock, Indianapolis, Tulsa, Dallas, Kansas City, Shreveport, Akron, etc. But so far he seems focused on cities in blue states. Apologies if I wasn’t as precise in my meaning before…
