I’m not on it but Kimberly checks the neighbourhood Facebook page once a week and gives me the tea. This week: Somebody is mad that someone picked up their dog’s deuce, bagged it, and put it in their trash can which was out for collection. This was, apparently, very close to an act of war
I saw a neighbor putting their bagged dog poop in my trash once and he hurriedly tried to reach back in, apologizing, while I assured him that was indeed where trash belongs. Some people gotta ruin it for everyone, I guess.
I’ve had people do this after my trash had been collected and the can was sitting empty at the curb. So that bag was going to be in my trashcan for a week. Thoughts on whether this is okay?
I’m not clear on why someone would be mad at a dog owner cleaning up after their pet when so often they complain about people NOT cleaning up but I drama folks are gonna drama I guess

I know my step daughter was a bit perturbed when someone did that, because the garbage collectors took out the bags by hand & left the poo bag in the can in summertime. It was… not pleasant when she next opened the can.

I have seen that so often on my NextDoor! I once replied to one of them saying "I don't mind, that's where trash goes, and if it's bagged up it's not going to get all inside my bin, it's fine" and she was all "IT SMELLS MY TRASH DOESN'T SMELL MAYBE *YOUR* TRASH SMELLS BUT MINE IS PRISTINE"

oh, this is a common thing I have seen. people think this is tantamount to pooing in their breakfast cereal. I cannot comprehend it. at all.
I have asked my husband to please just carry the bag of shit home so he doesn't get shot. People are nuts to begin with and this "don't put yer dog shit in mah can" thing is apex crazy.
