My friend owns property in Sandy Point. I've never even been to Canada but it looks beautiful. It's about half an hour from Halifax.

I've looked at Sandy Point (via Zillow), and Pictou. There are some nice waterfronts. Does your friend do rentals?

I will ask them if they'd be interested. They very rarely go up there. They live in Florida. They close the house up when they're not there an a local guy keeps an eye on it. I remember seeing pics & it has view of the ocean & sits on some amount of acreage. I'll get in touch & let you know.

Weed wak? Omigosh. The main purpose of compostin is to practice sustainable behaviorz, like runnin the water as slowly as possible, doin everything possible manually, eschew small engines, etc. Compostin is up there with drivin less, recyclin, limiting airtime, et al.

Ok, let me rephrase...hubby hasn't kept the weeds from growing around the pen and they're over my shoulders now. I can barely see into the compost pen. Kitchen scraps are basically hurled in. That's all I'm up for. At least it's not all going in the landfill.

The fact that I'm trying to produce humus from my piles for my flower beds is secondary. Besides, manual labor is good for my arteries 😉 Turn over that pile! It's good for us, and it speeds up the breakdown of pile materials 👋🐸

I did, bushes sagging with huge, certified organic, blueberries. It was a nice, and scenic, 18-mile drive up the Umpqua from the coast. Better yet, seeing them processed and vacuum sealed in my freezer! ❣berry season. Another 10 pounds for jam and syrup coming soon!
