Come. Australia is one of the few places in the world that isn't a total mess. Our housing market is broken but that aside we're one of the few halfway functional countries in the world. We're also a puppet state of America. It'll take some time to de-puppet ourselves but I think it's possible.

I'm not sure what Visa you're looking at. All the golden-passport style visas have been discontinued, and the buy-in for those are much less than $5 million anyway. Skilled migration seems to be the only real option for Americans.
