the “not actually a rain cloud but looks exactly like a rain cloud” -type clouds have returned to Pittsburgh for the first time since summer began it should have a name, à la Karl the Fog

when i moved here (the 1st time) 11 yrs ago, it took awhile to not run for the nearest shelter when i saw these dark clouds. in FL, they 💯% mean “i am a ⚡️ machine & i’m coming for you”, & my partner at the time was incredibly stumped as to why i always panicked (he didn’t know i’d been struck by ⚡️)
