my parents cannot navigate the construction hellscape that is the area around the hospital district in a way i’m comfortable with, so i end up taking them, which is important to do, yes, but also fucking the _worst_. whole day shot

I go to Pitt, as a commuter. I have excellent (expensive) parking at soldiers & sailors bc my legs aren't reliable but the commute through that zone by car is BY FAR the hardest part of undergrad.

it’s like a MUCH less whimsical version of mario kart lol thankfully, i am very familiar with the area and its challenges, but there’s still literally _always_ one almost-accident on every trip, whether it’s a random street-crosser, or a delivery van hard-braking in the middle of Forbes 😅
