I lived in an apartment for a year when the landlord sold it to someone new. That new person was a realtor, and we had conflicts; she claimed I had not extended my lease and attempted to raise my rent. When I was ready to move, she conveniently found the lease extension to keep me one more month.
I had a day or two left and was cleaning the place and we arranged for a key-drop. She had scheduled a visit from a potential new tenant in the same time slot. I came over early to wrap up and she had already changed the locks, trapping my vacuum and some cleaning supplies in the unit.
I think I did bust her sale though when I answered some questions about the cost of heat/utilities for the prospect. “You can go now,” said the landlord. Some real B.S. that was.
