You don’t have to watch MSNBC. They are systematically firing their non-white hosts and you have every reason to turn the TV off. I will not support bootlickers. I will not support those who kiss the ring. I will not support those who bend the knee. Ever.
I follow AP, Reuters, BBC, and all of my local newspapers and statewide Missouri papers. I also have found independent media in other states. One of my favorite Missouri newspapers is the Missouri Independent. I also sign up for lawmakers newsletters.

I've ONLY followed Katie Phang on social media. First on X (deleted) and now Bluesky. She catches a lot of legalese that others miss.
and most of them have their shows posted later as podcasts. I still enjoy Nicolle, Lawrence, & Stephanie.
If you’re desperate, go for the show as a podcast the next day. It’s free and there aren’t as many advertiser breaks as they have during the live show (so less revenue for MSNBC).

Only Reid is leaving NBC/MSNBC. The rest are moving to different roles. Cost cutting is the most likely reason for this.

These were likely the hosts with the lowest ratings. Cable news is dying. As revenue dries up costs have to be cut. Chris Wallace, a white man with a far higher profile, was recently let go from CNN after he turned down a contract with a major pay cut.

Blame MSNBC, not the hosts. If you have the chance, you should watch Rachel Maddow's show last night. It was unbelievably honest and straight forward. I'm upset with MSNBC, but they are still the best cable network to get the facts. Joy Reid was incredible last night also. What a class act.

I stopped after the "election." I came back recently to watch the hosts I liked (Nicole, Chris, Rachel, Lawrence), but left again when they started running that "Biden broke Medicare" spot. So I was already avoiding them before this. This just ensures I won't come back.
The only three people on MSNBC worth watching were Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid and Lawrence O'Donnell. I follow Rachel on Substack and hope Lawrence and Joy follow suit. MSNBC just joined CNN of news stations that are dead to me.

i turned off MSNBC when Morning Joe flew to Palm Beach to kiss trump’s ass and other body parts. That was the final straw. i now rely on the BBC on tv plus Canadian broadcasting and Al Jazeera online.
I drop MSNBC the day Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski kiss the ring of Donald Trump. But that's not the real reason. I did not hear one word from any of MSNBC anchors criticizing it. I'm sure the staff was told not to from the network executives.

Because it was obviously a #racist reduction in workforce. Keeping their diverse line-up would have given #MSNBC a chance to rebuild trust among their audience. Now we know that we were right to tune-out. Even #Maddow is in the go-along to get-along mode. Not a good look. #RachelMaddowIsACoward
Maddow said that MSNBC was wrong to let Reid go - on air last night. It's been 3 months since the election - businesses can't lose revenue forever hoping things improve or they wouldn't exist. People stopped watching - now those same people are complaining. Give me a break.
Awww fake uber-liberal #Maddow “said” it was wrong for her employer to be #racist. She could have put “their money” on the line by walking out. But she didn’t. She furrowed her eyebrows and capitulated for “her money.” And so did the rest of the white anchor crew. Disgusting. So disappointing.

That’s what I have concluded. I thought #Maddow was principled but when push came to shove, she went along with #racism for a paycheck.
She spoke out against it & said the network was wrong - what else should she do - quit? What would that prove - it would just be the loss of another powerful voice.
Her powerful voice can go anywhere. She does not have to keep making money for a racist employer. But her voice is a lot less powerful now because we have been forced to see that when #racist push comes to shove #Maddow is willing to go along to get along. But she’ll look sad and say it’s wrong.
I blocked that account so can’t see his profile anymore but I believe it is a bot/troll.
I listened to @wajali.bsky.social and @daniellemoodie.bsky.social go over the latest ratings on their podcast, and had they used rating metrics to determine who to cut, it wouldn’t have been the ones they chose.
Yet they only fired non-whites and kept the insipid whites like Joe, the ones who knelt and kissed the orange ass.
Then why didn't more people watch the non whites instead of telling us to boycott MSNBC. It has nothing to do with race - people weren't watching their shows which mean they weren't bring in revenue to pay for those shows. Simple business/

I have watched very little cable news since the new year. I would rather read the news these days. I also wish they gave us a wider scope of news.

I am boycotting completely all shows daytime and late night…I previously had respect for NBC/Universal but not now
