Or teachers, or nurses or or or........
Exactly!
Says the guy that buys everything on Amazon and hasn’t shopped local in a decade
If every American consumer chose American product regardless of price outsourcing would never have happened in the first place. This is why you shouldn't listen to influencers. Most of them have the IQ of a donkey and the knowledge of a toddler.
More lies from the Republican MAGAs
The official turnout from yesterday's protest marches (April 5, 2025 Hands Off) is 5.2 million, keep sharing that number. Most media is saying thousands. Mark you calendars for April 19 for the next one. The snowball has started to roll. The snowflakes have become a blizzard.
How does Trump better his achievement in being the only man to bankrupt a casino, bankrupt a Country, be very afraid America!
Exactly! When Amazon goes “American only” then I’ll believe it. The appetite for SHEIN and Temu is insatiable.
Temu decided to cut out the middleman: Amazon, Walmart etc. I have seen the exact same items, on Temu for half the price of what it is selling on Amazon or Walmart or any other website. I do a Google Lens search with a screenshot of the item. Some things are really bad knockoffs. Most are not.
We have tried this... I forgot; but didn't Biden try to bring manufacturing here? I forgot but why do we not manufacture stuff here? Where are those magat hats made?
the maga hats are made in china i think...
Pay the People if these fools want to tax the people more. Billionaires get richer off the backs of the Working Class. Infect pay less and get taxed more. Where is the People’s fare share. $7.25 per hour is no longer acceptable to survive.
I can't believe that bald-headed moron said that! His just as dumb and ill-informed as the rest of the Maggots! 😁
"Well, not those products..."
It’s BS. MAGA doesn’t want made in America if they have to pay more. This started back with Walmart. Filled the stores with China crap, open stores in communities wiped out mom and pop stores! This doesn’t sound American first to me.
Their fucking ugly red cap is Made in China. Anything they bullshit about "America" is null and void.
The crowd who says they want it all made in the USA is showing it by wearing hats, waving signs and flags that were all made in China.
Actually, thats amazingly funny, because any merchandiser shilling with Trump-branded shirts/hats literally wont be able to afford the cost tarrifs would put on them being made overseas...
Joe Biden did "Made in America" without destroying America, by incentives and federal help to businesses here. He started chips manufacturing. He did a infrastructure bill. He didn't bankrupt the entire country to do it.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It might be a cult
TRUTH
Concept of livable wage built on pretext that the prices being paid are fair to begin with.
The average factory worker in China makes $980 a month. How much more are you willing to pay?
Narrator: no he's not
27 GROUPS contain President Biden's 277 Winning ACCOMPLISHMENTS that Benefit the American People These 27 GROUPS are PAST examples of what FUTURE, ELECTED, UNITED, GOVERNING DEMOCRATS can do People need to be INFORMED about this ACCESS LINK BELOW TO SEE # 1 of 27 Groups
Most Americans can NOT afford more price increases. Not Short Term and not Long Term.
Amazed at all the rabid "tax and spend" Republicans out there. Who knew they were always for huge tax increases...just not ones that Congress actually constructed / voted on. They were always for huge tax increases done by Presidential fiat. Wish we had known that two years ago!
We did
If they so genuine in their desire to promote America how come they don't help Americans what they think attacking their own people is helping us with friends like that who need an enema!
BuT tHaT’s DiFfErEnT!?
When will you start paying American teachers?
In FL, due to their immigration laws, many undocumented migrants left, but FL still had a problem - Once hired, the AMERICANS said the jobs were too hard & the pay too low. Now FL wants to deregulate child labor laws so KIDS can work hard for low pay because the AMERICANS couldn't handle it.
Oof
Rhetoric can be pretty dressed up fantasy too! Hey pal we live in the reality of lies, deceptions and the sting. 🚫 trying to dress that 💩⬆️
Wow! We just hit 50 nations that negotiated ZERO tariff trade deals. Fuck MAGA lets do this ✊🏼 Free Trade!!
Or given health insurance.
Just wait till you find out who the non-taxable tip legislation is meant for It's meant for all the people that are suddenly going to rename their performance pay, tips. It's been for all the people that get massive bonuses every year which are now, tips.
So some guys are happy to buy less of their needs. Does he realise his money will not now cover all his needs.
they don't want to pay us, don't want us to have universal healthcare, don't care how much debt we go into for education, don't care if we're homeless, etc
They blame the person for not having money. Like everybody can save for retirement. I have and when I retired I paid off house new roof heater siding windows. I live off ss and my pension! Yeah house paid for but it’s not giving me a paycheck.
I’m willing to pay more for quality products from foreign countries. America is greedy. And the fast food we’re paying for. Is killing us: The love of the money is the root of all evil/watch America fall in less than 250 years. Trying to genocide the people that lived here before us, of 12,000 yrs
So if the opposite is true, and we appreciate stealing from one another more than being fair, then that whole Simpsons episode about Flanders eggs tasting better when stolen hits different now.
When I transitioned from electronics it was amazing sure some times you have to U turn people home building Remodeling it was a blast 💥
I can't wait to see people lose their minds when the Dollar Store is the $25 store That $10 shirt from China will become $40-$50 when made in USA The rich American manufacturing owners chose to move USA jobs overseas Other countries did NOT 'steal' your jobs Americans happily took the jobs overseas
Well, I for one, would be proud to buy american products even if they cost a bit more. How is this a controversial take? I think I need to read more of that thread. Is there anyone would would NOT pay a bit more for something made locally? I mean this for citizens of any country too.
I think it's more about who is saying it than what is being said. Saying you want American made products while also thinking minimum wage should not be a livable wage is not walking the talk.
I agree with you. That's shameful. EVERY worker deserves a living wage!
Fight the powers that be.
The whole made in America is a joke. Republicans are the ones who insisted their ONLY obligation was to stock holders when they marched their companies into Asia, South America. Self inflicted wound. They said they didn't care about American jobs...their stockholders profits came first.
Exactly! Voters have the memory of a flea!
You won’t be able to afford to buy quality American products made by Americans unless you can convince millions of Americans to live on the same wages paid to people in Taiwan or Cambodia. Good luck with that.
In America you cannot live indoors on the wages paid to a Vietnamese laborer.
The same people bitching about egg prices a few short months ago. Anyhoo you will be paying more for things the only difference is they won’t be made in America because that takes time and money, you know like the chips act that trump pulled the pin! Their idiocy knows no bounds!
Anyone who thinks there’s enough market within these borders that everyone will prosper is delusional.
The hypocrisy of Republicans (actually, of all right wing political parties) summed up in one picture. 🤠
It's like Trump has conned a large swath of old labor Dems into believing he is on the side of workers in this on-shoring thing. He isn't. He wants companies here because then he can have power over them. He wants the capitalists under his thumb as well.
He's stiffed every worker he's ever come in contact with. The GOP will want to expand labor supply (unemployment, child labor) so these new show factories have the cheap labor needed.
💯
If only the people MAGAs support hadn't spent the last few decades dismantling America's manufacturing infrastructure and sending jobs overseas
And making it easier for corporations to eliminate as many white collar jobs as they can.
MAGA then, MAGA now, MAGA 4Ever! No to: DEI, trans female impersonators in real girls sports, Medicare, welfare without a job after six months, mail-in voting, Ukraine aid. MAGE IS BEST FOR AMERICA!
I'm willing to completely restate the goals when it is clear my cult leader has lied to us.
I bet he took the rest of the day off twitter after that post.
Bezos got rich because he offered the lowest prices for foreign made goods. End of story.
Trump also made millions selling products that he produced overseas for decades. He never once showed an interest in American manufacturing until he needed a political identity, & the truth is he STILL doesn’t have an interest in the American worker, it’s just him flexing against other countries.
If I’m remembering correctly, didn’t I hear that the MAGA hats (and other tat) are/were made in, errr, China?
It’s all about the grift.
We're all talking about (manufactured) goods, because this is where 🥭🤡in his finite wisdom put the tariffs. But what about the IT industry? What about Google, Big Z etc.? They're not on the radar and guess why? MASSIVE imbalance, in the oligarchs' favor. If pushed too far, EU will bite back.
I mean I am willing to pay for for locally made. Also, all restaurant staff should make a base living wage and have universal healthcare.
Trump worshippers are so completely full of shit
From the guy who screams they raised the price of a Big Mac 50 cents to pay workers
🔥🔥🔥
How long are you willing to wait though?
If they could outsource the fast food workers to India or SE Asia, the fast food giants wouldn’t hesitate for a second.
So disconnected from so many peoples’ reality.
This article is a must read. Spread the word! Being prepared and ready to act - seems better than not being so at this point in time. medium.com/@aletheisthe...
Nice comeback
bsky.app/profile/maxi...
I don’t mind paying more as long as it goes to the workers and not a CEO who makes an absorbent salary plus benefits!
MAGA voters now claim they were “duped” and never imagined that Trump would wreck the economy. GOP/MAGA voters need to be held accountable for dragging this country into the toilet. www.alternet.org/alternet-exc...
I have little sympathy for most of these dopes!
This shows how uneducated MAGA chuds are. I guess they would be willing to pay $4000 for an iPhone that would be produced in the US compared to maybe $1500 for one that is produced in China. Definitely the cost would be A LITTLE BIT MORE. AND most companies in the US don't want to pay a living wage
He prob has an android from a pawn shop w a cracked screen cos he was too cheap to buy a screen protector.
While Trump does everythinghe can to destroy unions
Bingo!
Are they going to demand that their dear leader manufacture his red hats, gold sneakers, clothing line, and other merchandise in the US? We can take them seriously after that.
Example. American Made home gym treadmill $10,000. Imported Taiwanese treadmill WAS $3000, after 26% steel & aluminum tariffs $4000. It is still more affordable, but the Amrrican consumer will pay that increase or not buy, and both are problematic for businesses.
BOYCOTT red state America. I'll pay more if I have to, to TAKE DOWN the selfish fux who did this to us. I'll drive my Korean car to democracy loving Costco and but Canadian and Mexican and European products and those from American companies that DON'T support racist Nazi Republicans.
I'd seriously would rather go to Russia itself them go to a fucking red state.
Red states have joined the Russian federation. 😡 I've been to Russia. At least the part I was in, I so no evidence that the Russian people are the kind of ugly, racist fux that red state Americans are. But what they're doing in Ukraine says they are.
At least Russia somewhat respects their history while we're cutting everything. But, I also don't know much about Russian history so...I dunno. I'll say red states are the real life Gilead. My state went red too, but we at least got Shapiro for now.
The bits of Russia that tourists would visit are the equivalent of NYC or LA. Liberal by their standards.
uh. yeah. not me. I wasn't there as a tourist. Canada and Russia have the world's biggest temperate forests, and had big wildfires. Siberia, Russian far East, poverty and corruption, smuggling and poaching.
Look to El Salvador for Trump's real prize. A dictator who illegally gave himself another term, people disappeared off the street. open.substack.com/pub/sethabra...
The American people are stuck with a stupid president and his posse.
I keep saying this. In October I bought a sectional couch made by Americans 100% in America. I paid $9823 for it. I buy one from overseas for $3500. Even if tariffs doubled price, they will still buy overseas one. They will just pay more for same thing.
Let's hear back from him when that wide-screen TV he bought at Walmart a few months ago for $300 is now going to cost $2000 because it's made in America now.
All of those companies will suddenly now be paying a decent wage? I doubt it very much. Companies will pay their workers the least amount of $ they can get away with. Automation will eliminate jobs. How much do you think your $7.99 T-shirt is going to cost when it’s made in the USA? Maybe 3-4 X.
Because fast fashion made in sweatshops doesn't reflect humane and fair labor, a sub $10 t-shirt has become normalized. Operating legally and with fair labor, if you produce basically the same shirt, it's just "expensive". You have to go more luxury so people can justify the $ difference. No middle
On the tariff naughty list Lesotho : "US brands and retailers sourcing from Lesotho include Foot Locker, Gap, Gloria Vanderbilt, JCPenney, Levi Strauss, Lululemon Athletica, Saks, Sears, Timberland and Wal-Mart .. In 2007, the average earnings of a textile worker .. $103 per month"
So many people are being financially abused by our unmatched hunger for cheap clothes. That is SO shortsighted. And the abuse to the environment is significant. We just throw our old stuff away. We’re really not very conscientious.
I believe it was The Fifth Estate on the CBC that did an episode on clothing manufacturing in the 2/3’s world. Most of the workers have little chance of getting ahead. Unlike the factory owners.
LOL - every Republican voted against the recent minimum wage bill. EVERY SINGLE ONE!
I heard Josh Hawley voted for it?
You are right - 1 Republican voted for it. :) www.govtrack.us/congress/vot...
Don't you find it weird
I live in a deep blue state with a Republican governor. Weird happens.
But Josh Hawley? 🤷🏼♀️
Nope
In conversations I’ve either been involved in or overheard, people who make a livable wage don’t seem to think fast food workers should make a livable wage. They either don’t know or forgot about the people who fought for higher and livable wages before them.
There are plenty of made in the USA items you can buy right now. Those items usually cost 2-10x more than their cheaper counterparts. If people are paid higher wages, they'd be more likely to spend on quality American made products. This is a multilayered issue which tariffs do nothing to solve.
To add to this, when people don't have money to spare, they are going to go for the cheaper options. Sure, you can buy a $200 pair of real quality leather boots that will last you years if not for life with care and maintenance, but many people can't afford an extra $200 expense.
Vimes, is this you?
The problem with that logic is the CEOs of those companies will take the biggest piece of the pie with no return on the consumers investment...... The rich get richer, again....
Yeah when your iPhone costs 4x more we’ll see.
agreed
you’ll pay more for American made products if you & many millions more have the jobs & incomes to buy those..47 wants cars made in America - where does he think all the materials to MAKE cars here would come from-Pittsburgh??? Fabric from New York??? It’s called a global economy for a reason 🌎
If consumers weren't so predatory, and already being taken advantage of themselves, any company that doesn't pay a livable wage SHOULD GO BANKRUPT.
Honestly cooking is one of the great joys in life. If you pay a young adult to cook for you that's sad. That being said, any job worth doing should be paid a livable wage. Especially for young adults. We are the future. We are not machines. If it's not a livable wage it's NOT A JOB WORTH DOING.
Great! Who decides?
Key word. Quality.
THE GOP refuses for yrs to not even raise the minimum wage of $7.25 (this increase was 2009) They are all FOS!
Many jobs aren’t worth even half of that. Falsely inflated minimums results in inflation. Mandate 20 dollar “living wages” gets you $15 Happy Meals, $4.35 apples, etc. wages must be directly tied to supply and demand.
Everyone keeps saying this and every country that actually pays fast food workers a reasonable wage somehow magically doesn't have this problem You've been lied to Which is fine, so long as you stop repeating it when you learn its untrue
Except we have places with higher minimum wage and their happy meals do not in fact cost 15 dollars, stop listening to hypotheticals on the internet and go outside and look at reality
exactly.
Prices have been higher and people have a valid complaint. Their wages haven't been growing to match the rise in pricing. We are creating poor people, people living on the edge, and most are voting against their own self interest.
Right wing propaganda has been really impressive to convince people they are the working class party based on this fact alone.
When I saw the commercials against universal healthcare…I realized we lost the bit
I love the freedom of choice that american healthcare provides me. With Communist Healthcare, I'd only have one option: raising taxes and putting doctors and bankrupting insurance workers. With Good American care, I can choose between dozens of insurance providers to fuck my ass raw and deny me care
I was so worried that I had someone to block… Bring it in
Same lol
😅😅😅 That is too funny. I was thinking the same , but that was very clever.
That ending tho 😳
It closed the argument didn’t it?
You make a compelling case for - the NHS….
There's a compelling case for taking on one of the other models rather than the NHS one, which was the first and great in its own right but other countries are doing it better. To be clear, I'm not in favour of reform or abolishion, any attempted changes will likely make it worse.
The Senate Parliamentarian the Democrats from the $15 min wage after Georgia Democrats fought to get Warnock elected and control the Senate.
Ah, but it was Hillary that laughed at us and told us that a $15 minimum wage was a pipe dream.
No-one should be getting out of bed for less than $20/hour net of all deductions.
Many of us don’t have any other options.
You're right. But after being out of work for 5 months, I took a part time job for $15 so that I wouldn't starve to death.
“You guys”?
Mic drop
literally this. talked to fast food owner/operators regarding the wages. they believe that paying higher wages results in lazier workers who would just stop showing up for work because they have too much money...
Brilliant.
States that allow less than $4 per hour for tipped workers: AL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MS, NH, NC, ND, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WV, WI, WY. Only CA, OR, WA, MN, MT, AL, and NV prohibit it, requiring employers to pay the full minimum wage regardless of tips. www.rippling.com/blog/minimum...
Or childcare workers n teachers
They act like liberals haven't said they would pay more for any number of reasons. Conservatives were always the ones bitching about it.
Who do you consider “Americans”
That’s the default question
No response from them. Didn’t think it was a hard question.
silence says it all
Then let’s increase the minimum wage!!
Lets get them out of office. Can you send these 2 letters to your AG? Plz share this post www.tumblr.com/unitedwestan... www.tumblr.com/unitedwestan...
Fuck yes, they need to make the same salary as a factory worker building a car! Any minor mistake can kill the person who spent the money!
They've come full circle. 🤣
Enjoy that coffee grown in Oklahoma...
Missouri legislators are right now trying their damness to repeal the minimum wage increase that Missourians voted in!!! No- they want you to live in the street and work that job for pennies! 🤬🤬🤬
This recent thing where state legislatures override referendum votes from their citizens is infuriating!
Missouri does this everytime!! 🤬🤬🤬
🔥🔥
As a retired auto worker, I’ve heard from plenty of people who do not want workers to be paid a decent wage. Or have health insurance, or pensions. Or even over time pay.
These are the folks cheering federal employees being fired. SMDH
MAGA has a fantasy that there are millions of people dying to do manufacturing jobs. That generation retired 3 decades ago or more.
The lack of self awareness by these hypocritical morons is laughable.
He obviously hasn't noticed all the restaurant workers that are dependent on tips to feed their kids.
If you can find enough people who want the jobs anyway! Why do you think these companies hire migrants??? Americans don’t want these jobs!! 🤦🏻♀️ yeeeeessshhhh
"Last night, every Senate Democrat voted for my amendment calling for a $17 an hour federal minimum wage while every Republican but 1 opposed it."
This is the stupidest lie ever. NOBODY is willing to pay more money for anything regardless of where the product is made. Most people are always looking for the best value (sometimes the cheapest) because that’s all they can afford. Our Federal minimum wage is still at $ 7.25 per hour!!!
I would rather eat an American meal than some other kind of meal b/c... I use propaganda to make all my decisions. justweighing.com
Fuck McDonald's I will never eat there again because it's too expensive it's not fast anymore and it's really bad for you.
A living wage in most cities in the United States right now is around $60,000 a year, and I don't think people working at McDonald's should be making $30 an hour. Especially 15 and 16 year olds that don't know anything. I go left on most things, but not this.
If McDonald’s paid a living wage, more adults would work there (and you’d probably get better service), genius.
I got better service in the '80s when 90s when it was just teenagers working there.
You mean the 15 and 16 year olds that don’t know anything who you referenced in your original post?
And a $27 cheeseburger as thick as a piece of paper
That’s not who works those jobs. And even if it did it would just enable people to save and buy homes. Pay them the same and the just force the kids to save in an account for college or home
I'm left on most things but never this
Maybe I'm just old but my parents couldn't force me to do anything no. Parents were very hands off in the '70s the '80s and '90s
What does that have to do with how those jobs work? Is this like a sort of projection of a “lazy identified” part of your self from before?
No one aspires to make a living at fucking McDonald's for their whole life you idiot stop fucking arguing with me I'm never going to bend
Are there even a total enough “real jobs” for people in these positions to move up automatically?
So you don’t think McDonald’s workers, even 15 and 16 year olds (which is a minority of their work force) should not get paid enough to…(checks notes)…afford things and save money?
Say you started out making $7 an hour as a Carpenters helper that was 30 years ago now you make $25 an hour as a carpenter and then all of a sudden they raise minimum wage to $15 an hour and you're still making $25 with 30 years experience
A rising tide lifts all boats.
Raising minimum wage does nothing for workers with experience who have worked for years to make just over what they're raising the minimum wage to.
But the top workers will not get a raise if the bottom workers never do. Also no one will enter a profession if they can’t pay the rent.
I think minimum wage should be high enough for a teenager living with their parents to be able to afford to pay their own car insurance and car payment and buy his own clothes. And then they should look for a job with a ladder to climb. Or go to school.
Currently impossible to do that. Cost of car insurance is higher. Ex: when I went to college I could pay tuition etc with a summer job & a pt time job - now I would be short 1000s of $. Min wage was enough 40 years ago but has not risen with inflation
FDR (and I) would disagree. "It seems to me to be equally plain that no business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country. By "business" I mean the whole of commerce as well as the whole of industry;..."b
"By workers I mean all workers, the white collar class as well as the men in overalls; and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level-I mean the wages of decent living." -FDR on establishing a minimum (living) wage.
I started out making pizza for $3.35 an hour when I was 16. Thank God I didn't plan on doing that for my whole life.
The last time I made minimum wage I was 16 and still lived with my mother. That was 1986. No adult living on their own should still only be making minimum wage.
Why do you think some people say millennials don't want to work? Because they refuse to work at a job that won't pay them a fair price for their labor. We workers can try to force the greedy owner's hand, but having a law to make them do the right thing is usually necessary. Fast food pays $15/hr
Are you any worse off? You are probably in a position to negotiate for a wage increase. $25 per hour seems very cheap for a qualified builder.
Then the carpenters need to be telling the bosses they will be asking for $50/hr. The bosses have increased the prices they charge accordingly over the last 30 years, so they have been stealing from their employees for quite some time.
The story of my professional life.
It's like why learn how to do anything if you can make enough money knowing nothing.
I didn't realize that people being paid minimum wage didn't know anything. What a capitalist way to look at human beings.
I started building houses i age 27 got a dollar raise for showing up everyday for a week. Then I got another dollar raise for buying a saw. Within 4 years I owned the company. And hired my boss. If you're still making minimum wage as an adult you're not trying hard enough
You’re underpaid too, derp.
I'm underpaid. I don't work for someone else anymore. I just think everything cost too much. Like a fucking McDonald's cheeseburger should be no more than $1 ever. A Coke should never be more than $1 ever. A sheet of plywood should never be more than $10 ever. derp.? Dumbass people keep buying it.
Raising the minimum wage is the cure for inflation, not the cause.
I only made minimum wage for one month at my first job before I got a raise when I was 16 years old 15 and a half actually. That's what minimum wage is for those kids. Life doesn't hand out participation trophies. You don't just get raises because you want more money you have to work for it.
I'm sorry but you're wrong paying teenagers that work at McDonald's $15 an hour is not the cure for inflation.
All I know is that when the minimum wage went to $15 an hour so did the price of a fucking Big Mac.
Inflation happens without a change in the minimum wage. Your solution sounds like an argument to bring back slave labor.
Every time they raise the debt they raise the tax on labor which is us raising minimum wage isn't going to fix it. If you still make minimum wage quit your job and do something else especially if you've been there for a while.
Yes, everyone making minimum wage should quit their job. $3.35/hr in 1981 to $7.25/hr in 2024 isn’t comparable. CEO compensation has gone up more than 1000% during that time period. CEOs used to make about 20 to 30 times what the average worker made. Greed is the cause of inflation.
My argument is that minimum wage doesn't need to be a living wage because minimum wage is for 16 year olds getting their first job. A living wage in most cities in this country is $60,000 a year which it has taken me 40 years to get to. I quit.
I'm not saying it shouldn't be raised I'm just saying it shouldn't be $60,000 a year because that's what I make when I've been working for fucking 40 years
There’s an expression: “punch up, not down.” It means don’t be a bully. Don’t blame the poor for you not being rich. Blame the billionaires. They are hoarding the wealth. We can’t afford billionaires.
Here's your reason for inflation. www.propublica.org/article/nati...
I don't think a McDonald's meal is worth $13. Especially now that it's not even fast, and it's barely food. It's not a job for adults unless you're the manager.
I'm afraid the low-paying jobs that were held by immigrants will now be filled by seniors (except roofing and the other more labor intensive jobs.) Oh, well! For the labor-intensive jobs, we always have children!
Exactly.
💙🐈⬛💙🐈💙 To bad the majority of thing that the republicans say are American made are actually only assembled in America using globally sourced materials!
Problem is so many US products are crap. Which is one reason why they have trade deficits.
They can't even be made in the USA right now dipshits! Nice try!
Voted the senile clusterfuck back in because you wanted lower egg prices!!
For real. Or teacher assistance. In NC people make more money at target and McDonalds than as a teacher assistant or secretary at a school. You can see how much the reps in NC value public education.
Good for you buddy. Let’s see how all those folks who were fired and all those folks who are paying higher prices at the grocery store and all those folks who are afraid they’re losing their Social Security feel about paying higher price prices for American goods.
Well, he did say “quality products“.
And unfortunately…just because it’s “Made in America” doesn’t mean it’s quality. I wish it did…
$200 for a dress shirt.
It’s exhausting 😂
They insist these jobs are just HS students making some extra money. No one really lives on money earned from fast food. 🙄
Sadly some do when they work two fast food jobs. Many don’t have health benefits provided. It’s hard to justifying eating at a fast food restaurant these days. When you see an owner walk in to check on workers while carrying a LV purse it makes you cringe. 😳
Fortunately for this guy, when you live in Hypocrite Land every new situation is completely isolated and unrelated to anything else you ever said or believed.
According to these folks, fast food workers aren't people.
bsky.app/profile/4hor...
But what about towns and rural areas? Low end jobs are the only jobs available in many areas.
Exactly. That’s why the minimum wage needs to be a living wage.
True that. Like: women should have their babies. YET we won't give them medical care, child care, parental leave, early child hood education...
Medicaid pays for about half of the births in red states...soon, they will be spitting them out in Walmart bathrooms.
They don't think people who work fast food are human beings who deserve dignity.
The faux morals are just there to cause cognitive dissonance
Totally agree with your comments 👍
That's laughable. All of the red states still have a federal minimum wage at $7.25.
trumpers just don’t GET the math do they? The reason everything is made “Offshore” is because companies say they aren’t able to pay a liveable wage to employees in America. But those companies record breaking profits say differently.
That’s why it will never happen- America workers would have to be paid salaries that corporations will never pay- and if they did, the products would cost way more than what people would pay for them- so anyone who believes this is going to work needs to get their head out of the sand
Plus the environmental regulations that were put in place so they just went to china a country that had to shut down their factories during the Olympics because the air was to polluted.
These are the same folks who don't tip their server....
They are also the same people who think they are too good to work as a server or in any part of the service economy. 😩 Best training for being decent humans my kids ever got was working in restaurants. 👏 That and raising their own food when they were littles was a character win for our family. 😉
Meanwhile Florida Republican lawmakers are pushing to change child labor laws to make up labor from the mass deportations. They don't care if they get "paid a decent income."
Or get meal breaks! And school forget about that
Hey, I got 15 tons of low grade beef I can’t move to Asia now, can I get in this school meal thing?
Don’t you think they’ve been freeloading long enough? People want to give them free food at school too! Let them work! They’ve got such small fingers, they’re perfect for the garment industry. Meat packing too. Most parents don’t even charge rent!
Exactly!!
Changes in the child labor laws are wrong.
Problem is way too many Americans are not paid a living wage. Many work more than one job just to have the necessities.
Yep - the maga crowd looks down on livable wages - they bitch if fast food workers make more the cost of their burgers and fries will go up, yet they act like musk is a genius and an expert inventor- Musk, like Trump, is human scum and hope they become worm food before summer 2025
well said
"Hard Pass" is willing to pay more for quality products made in America, as long as they are made by white people.
I love this. Magas idea of themselves is so generous and gracious 😂😭
😆😅
The billionaire don’t think anyone should make money, just give it to them. Like Reagan said they are the only ones who know what to do with it, thirty year republican dream 😴, wake up America
Fact
"Hard pass" is going to pay for it. If I am competing with a good that suddenly goes up by 25 percent because of it, it's a tariff, I can raise my prices 15 percent and still compete nicely. American goods are going to get more expensive.
This! They demand American made products then scoff at a living wage for some of the most physically taxing jobs!
I would love to buy my gemstones in America as a jewelry designer but guess what they don’t make half of them here they’re not mined cut or created here🤔🤔🤔
🙈🙉🙊 If they don’t close the state park in Arkansas you can go to Murfreesboro and dig your own. Take the kids. Good times. 🥳
Welll I will definitely look online to see if they sell any stones because honestly, if they do, it would be a great place for me to source from!!!! And actually digging my own sounds kind of fun now🤣
It’s diamonds in AR. We panned for gold in CO. Mostly it’s just activities to keep the kids busy. 🤔
At least it’s something And I need activities to keep my rage in check 🤣
🩷 There is a couple on YouTube that travels the country mining for gems. I don’t remember a name or I would provide a link. It looked like hard work. It did look like there would be no energy left for rage though. 👍
Hardie has no idea what those would cost. He’d buy Temu junk, cheaper even with tariffs. Dumpty wants us back in the 19th century when most people lived short lives in poverty, and a few got rich.
The mental conditioning runs deep. People close to me were bred to have a warp sense of perception. I watched a an individual lose her shit because fast food workers wanted more money 🤯. I assured her that I don't give a shit... I then explained what they eat don't make her shit.
I'm going to enjoy watching them try to grow coffee beans. #dopes
Republicans are always wanting to roll everything back 200 years. Maybe they think we can switch to just drinking tea.
The US is a net importer of tea & the second largest tea importer globally. stir-tea-coffee.com/tea-coffee-n...
This is too true. It sure seems to be "I should make $500K per year! Those people are overpaid at $7.25 per hour! They want a raise and next they will want medical benefits!
Glad he has the throw away cash for that. Must be nice.
So where does the moron think eggs come from spain?
Robots
And the MAGA are proud walking around in their red made in China hats
Ironic, ain't it.
Right wing schaudefruade
Yeah well those numb nutts will be the hardest hit from Trump disastrous tariffs and economic policies.
It's fucking wild that literally a third of the country are certifiable sociopaths.
Truth….. if they were REALLY concerned about buying American, Walmart would have been out of business a decade ago…… JS.
And it goes without saying that because it's made in the USA by Americans, the quality is better?
Because they think these are the jobs they’re gonna get… or people who look like them.
Do they really understand? Coffee pot Made in China: $75.00 Made in USA: $345.00
The irony of this is that he is willing to pay for cheap shit that ends up in our landfills.
Leveling the trade playing field should mean addressing labor abuses/exploitation and environmental harm abroad - not increasing tariffs that American consumers end up paying.
THIS!!!! Workers of the world UNITE!

Bingo. 💯
A 1000x Yes!! I’ve been saying the same for years. Imports should have to meet the same standards as Am made products.
On the Sunday talk shows they kept talking about bringing manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. without once mentioning who sent those jobs overseas. Corporations are responsible because of their greed, and now all Americans will suffer for the corporations making record profits.
Right but they claim people assembling phones will make America great !! How about Florida and other states rolling back child labor laws …. You want uneducated cheap labor workers who won’t stand up to a Dictator! Well we will overthrow you as well!!! Rise up make some good trouble
If that were true, we wouldn't be talking.
A lot of things aren't possible to make 100% here. Want to open clothing company? Who do you think manufactures the machines you need? Not us. Where are the skilled workers who know how to use the machines? People can be trained, but by who? Global markets are not a bad thing.
Global markets are not a bad thing. To answer one of your questions; people could be trained by the same people who built, maintained, and repaired those machines before. They could be trained by the people who produced on those machines before. Being fully dependent on global trade is a bad thing.
And all of those people are in other countries. Which is my point. Its not that easy.
I was talking about the Americans who did all of that prior to the great manufacturing exodus. They are still here and haven't gone daft. They can teach. The opposite of your point.
And are those people even still alive? How much has the technology changed since then? Here, since I think you're missing the point, watch this video. Her skit explains things better than I can. www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8jF57pS/
Yes, they are alive. They are all over the little forgotten places of the USA. I'm not missing the point at all. I am simply trying to point out something you have wrong. Bringing manufacturing back to the US won't happen overnight, but that doesn't mean it can't happen at all. Don't sell us short.
Manufacturing moved overseas in the 70s/80s. You're talking about people who are in their 70s now. My mom was 29 in 1980-She's 73. And again technology has changed drastically. Small businesses can't wait years to build plants here. Long term goals are great, but cutting us off from the world isn't
That was the beginning of it, not the end. Otherwise, we're in agreement.
You pay with your debit card, don't even look at them, then drive away... Come on, leave a little coin...they are your sons and daughters... Teach them gratitude for service...
Minimum wage should be enough to support yourself without food stamps … minimum wage should be enough to support yourself without having 2 or 3 jobs to make rent.
I will pay extra for anything made in Canada or the EU bc I know they have strict standards and produce quality goods. Not supporting the takeover of the US by Oligarchs.Don't spend your $$ on ppl trying to turn our Country into a Fascist State.
From the same group who lost their shit over the price of eggs.
What MAGA don’t understand is that is cheaper to manufacture in other countries. For example, the minimum wage in Mexico is at $278 pesos per day (8hrs) =$13 usd vs USA $15 x 1 h x 8 a day= $120 usd per day. $120-$13 = positive $107 usd. Huge difference for costs of manufacturing in USA and abroad.
