What does 'separation of church and state' mean to christian nationalists?
I heard a sermon YEARS ago that it isn’t separation of church and state. It is separation of state from church-the church has the obligation to be in politics. Politics just can’t be in the church… God has *always* been in the politics and problems started with taking prayer from schools, etc…

And unfortunately I think when people become SO fervent they don’t see how radical Christianity is any different from any other radical religion. They don’t see the lesson in the crusades. They don’t see the warning that God gives choice to people. They are fervent instead of following God.
If you believe that there are only 2 existences after death- heaven or hell (and not all Christians believe in hell), then you need to reach people to live eternally in heaven. Other religions automatically live in hell. So if you DO care about people you want to share that.

And can you ask her to explain to listeners how Christian Nationalism is a key and consistent part of American Christianity? I think a lot of folks dismiss CN because it’s “not Christlike” but in doing so, I think they miss the dangers. One solution is Christians holding Christians accountable.
