Abomination
Abomination
It’s a violation of the Oklahoma Constitution also, but that didn’t stop them from trying. The Oklahoma Supreme Court stopped them. The US Supreme Court probably would have allowed it had ACB not recused (which led to a 4-4 non decision).
And lawmakers ignore the Constitution.
My constitution too!
Excellent point, Jess. Will keep watching this since my wife & I are FFRF member/supporters.
YAY !!!💙
You are right! Taxpayer money for public schools only. Public schools are the backbone of our country.
And I will hold my breath until republiKKKans actually care.... OK...turning blue won't help.
So, this automatically is null and void, right? ….Right?!
Time for lawsuits!!!!🚨🚨🚨
For the time being…
Laws mean nothing to fascists.
And sending tax payer money to foreign gulags should be illegal if it isn't already. Thank you
There was a time when Missourians spoke sense.
The legislature cares about the Missouri Constitution as much as they care about referendum voted for by the people.
Fund your own religious education like the old days!
This is what chat got says about "the big beautiful bill" 👇 www.instagram.com/reel/DKhaXCd...
And the US CONSTITUTION.
Sounds like it's time to add another lawsuit to Trump's Maga Pile
And yet here you are.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion."
hmmm seems someone should tell Farve
Will the "science" books teach that the earth is 6,000 years old? The horseshoe crabs would like a word
Does God even own a wallet? Because it seems like he is always trying to bum money off of Americans.
Like the rightwing nutjobs in the MO legislature are worried about trivia like the Constitution...they'll just pass a bill that says obviously voters don't understand the provision and it should be ignored until they can find a way to get us to vote against it.
Same in California.
Since when does the Missouri Constitution mean anything to the Repubs there? I lived and worked in St. Louis for years and moved back to the Illinois Metro area where I watch their fascism. I remember when you had Democrat governors. Hard to believe now.
Private institutions using taxpayer money that are not accountable to the taxpayer is misuse of taxpayer funds. cbwrong.blogspot.com/2025/06/trum...
.
Public schools only, and stop the no child left behind crap. That's only left a very large uneducated gap.
American Christian Taliban wants what it wants
👏👏👏👏
Question how many times can shitler break his oath to the constitution does it take before he gets removed from office,,let's ask the owl 🦉,,oh wait that's for lollipops,,,so when can he get fired for not performing his duties that he swore an oath to do,,any other asshole would have been kicked out
Private schools have expensive tuition. They don’t need taxpayer money.
the people who can afford to send their kids to private schools think it costs too much they don't want to pay taxes, either - not just their fair share not any they want the poors to pay to send their kids to private schools so they have more money to pay off politicians
Do not assume others will respect the same “guardrails” we respect. An electrified fence does work, with elevated machine gun emplacements every 1/4 mile. Shoot to wound, then kill if they don’t retreat. Sounds authoritarian, even fascist. And…?
That’s one goal, the latent function, or sub Rosa agenda and intent is removing the “Guardrail” between Church and State. Never was a wall. They don’t give a rat’s ass about abortion. They are attacking personal privacy. “Privacy” is never mentioned in the Big C. Nor a wall between church and state
☝️MAGA did this. we are at the point in our story where the law has been ignored so often, no one seems to be held accountable.
They can fix that with a deceptively worded ballot initiative in 2026
So that's why they don't give it to the schools...they fly under the radar and give it to the parents who get to choose...
This administration will ignore that, and get away with it. They always do. They're untouchable through legal means. Face facts; only violence will overthrow fascism.
It's SUPPOSED to be a violation of the First Amendment too but the GOP says it's not! They've done study after study that's PROVEN PRIVATE SCHOOLS DO NOT INCREASE STUDENT ACADEMIC LEVELS! The money private school vouchers pulls out from our public schools harms public school students! Lose-lose!
And they spelled it out plainly. This isn’t a “what does the establishment clause really mean” debate question. This is in no uncertain terms forbidding the use of public money for anything religious.
Separation of Church and State.
Sue
You know Gops don't read constitutions.
It's a violation of the US Constitution.
What’s that ? 👂 Trumps Republicans are breaking the law ? 😳 Again ? 😮 I’m SHOCKED ! 😲 [insert sarcasm here]
Not sure what I think of this. I mean I don't live in MO. Seems there may be some tax implications lurking there...or deals subverting the law. Could just be my natural suspicion.
It’s a violation of the Constitution but Trump and his gang spit in the face of the Constitution.
As it should be. 🇨🇦
And you just KNOW they're going to do it anyway.
So I'm thinking that the Dem's have to get all over the news in every possible way with this point. See if the MAGAXtians can get the Missouri Constitution changed lol.
Somebody trying to do that in MO?
Well, we've already established that the Republicans have the national prerogative of ignoring any hints and suggestions contained in constitutions, and many Supreme Courts would happily second the decisions of an executive holding a bloody knife.
When has a Constitution ever stopped a Republican?
yeah they also voted for protected abortions the Miss SCourt fcked them anyways
I’d say it was a violation of the first amendment of the US constitution as well. If government is subsidizing tuition to religious schools, it’s no longer separate.
Christian’s are so sneaky and desperate.
The pied Piper! Keep up the good work! JACK
And for good reason.
Besides the fact that most religious schools provide mediocre education because they severely underpay their teachers (which, since all teachers are severely underpaid, that staggers the imagination)
They could care less about violating the Constitution. That is their point..
Laws and votes mean nothing in Missouri
And the MO taxes that are going to religious child placement centers who CAN discriminate on who they place a child with.
I'm sure it's unconstitutional in every state
It's a violation of the US Constitution as well, except that some Supreme Court judges like the idea.
The constitution had something to say about that!
It should be for every state; called separation of church and state
But yet...
Sadly, we are living in lawless times.
Violation is their business, not representation.
I so agree. Private religious schools should not be funded with tax dollars. In my part of Canada, they are well funded by tax dollars, and then additionally well funded by parents paying school fees.
