And, don’t think I’m just hating on these guys. I’m married to one and raised three.

I apologize to #Lyngo everytime I say this but he takes no offense because he knows it to be true 😞
Jess, and I am one of 'those' men.... who are in total agreement. Our society is WRONG... Period.
I am one. White males ARE the problem.
CHRISTIANS? Jesus Christ
Then define a motherfucking question because what they call Christians now are not goddamn Christians! Is it the same for your family? Are y’all motherfucking Christians? Are y’all Jesus Christians?
This is wrong! They might be the only one *presumed* to have defensible rights but they will be stripped of them at the whim of the regime.
Right. You could add "who never criticize the madman figurehead" to the OP but then it's self-contradictory. You have rights on paper if you don't exercise those rights.
Understanding I'm living in the immense privilege of relatively small fears and threats to my rights.
For now. Trump will come for the the those identifying as a member of the Democratic party.
Aw man Jess, you married one and then you made three more of them!!? Unbelievable; this will *never* end!! 😜
I am one and raised 2 but my wife now needs a passport to make sure she can vote without me being present so I think you're on to something. Fascism truly sucks.
Yup
I'm working on a passport this summer as well... a cya move
You definitely need to. We moved from TX to Michigan so we, especially my wife, could have less fascism in our lives but that's just a band-aid.
Step one. Give up the Christian bullshit. It’s fascistic, mysoginistic, and meant to oppress.
I'm not a Christian. I was raised a Christian but I'm a Unitarian. But, as a white man I am generally extended the privilege accorded to white Christian men so I acknowledged that in my response.
Understood. I used to be universalist
I don't think Unitarians are considered "Christians" in Missouri. Heck, I was raised ELCA Lutheran. Missouri Synod Lutherans don't consider me "Christian".
Yeah. I'm aware. There are Unitarian Christians, Buddhists, Jews, Muslims, Atheists, Agnostics, etc. Evangelicals just view all as hellbound. Lol
Since there are morons in the room, let me clarify. If the SAVE Act is passed in the Senate and implemented then my wife, who changed her last name when we married, would need additional documentation to ensure she is able to vote. She got the passport to be ahead of the game.
Had mine renewed last month for this same reason.
I believe that’s true if you register. But I also believe it is true that if you’re already registered, then you don’t need to prove anything. Especially in MI where we’ve beat back the GOP. Maybe I’m wrong?
Not in NC
We moved from Texas though. Things were different there. Ha
Good for you and welcome to a free state. My aunt got out of Dallas a couple years ago. I always hate going there for work.
Thx. It's not a liberal/progressive utopia but it's far better than TX and definitely a "free" state in comparison to the faux freedom/liberty hellscape we left behind.
Ladies, don’t change your name.
Smart. I'm thinking of doing the same.
And, as anyone who has actually researched the SAVE Act knows, a DL may not be enough for a woman who changed her last name. My wife now carries her passport, DL, a copy of her birth certificate, and our marriage license in her purse after she had hell just getting her license changed when we moved.
