My Vietnam veteran dad has been a *serious* student of war history- particularly WWll- literally my entire life. He went off the MAGA deep end around 2016. My dad has 2 Purple Hearts from head trauma injuries, played football thru college, and is on full, permanent disability for combat-related PTSD. MAGA gave him somewhere to funnel his rage over how his life turned out. He should have been very successful, but instead did nothing with it at all.

It’s really not hard to see if you have any other understanding. Fascism is nationalistic, meaning it will look a little different from one nation to the next. All you have to do is compare Italian Fascism to German Nazism to see the similarities in the differences, and extrapolate from there.

Not to mention, Nuremberg focused on the big names, but only those who were captured. So many other high-ranking Nazis escaped (like Mengele and Eichmann), while others were invited to the Allied countries (like the US for its nascent space program) or ended up back in power later in W. Germany.
