Social safety nets caught many of us. They helped us gain the footing to do better for our families. Cutting Medicaid and college programs would have kept me down for good. And that’s the point. They don’t want people like me to exist.

Rather than investing in the American people, these parasites want to suck the country dry. I'm also really pissed at those who want to kick people when they're down. Psychopaths!
People like you are the reason American exists!
My mom and her best friend used the same safety net to get degrees when each’s husband left. One became an engineer and the other ran a $20 million dollar business. Their tax dollars have well exceeded the benefits they received. I want live in a country that invests in people.
Same. I shudder to think what would’ve become of us without SSI, Section 8, food stamps, free lunch & Pell grants. We also had access to reproductive healthcare through Planned Parenthood and without that our lives would have been even worse.
I was laid off during the recession, couldn't find work for a year, and was broke. Then I was in a car accident and was hospitalized for 2 months with no insurance. My care cost THOUSANDS. Too many people like me could've bankrupted the hospital if not for the ACA and Medicaid.
Yes!! I too used Medicaid for my first child. Happily, for my second child we had health insurance through my husband’s job. It’s invaluable to those that need it! My 32 year old has a bachelor’s in education and is herself a mom of 2 now!
Right! In my long career, I have lost THREE jobs not due to anything I did, but because of leveraged buyouts led by greedy executives. The last time, the retail company had to declare bankruptcy & I became unemployed overnight. I thank the govt for unemployment comp, Medicaid & SNAP for saving me.
Helped me go to community college as a single mom with three kids and there was also subsidized day care. Went on to graduate from a prestigious university & start my own women’s magazine that paid my employees a good wage, health insurance and 401k. Could not have done it without govt help.
I have a medicaid baby too! He'll be 26 years old next week! Being a single mom wasn't easy but I did it. I always worked full time. I never had cash assistance, but Healthcare and food banks were a blessing that got me through many tough times. I still appreciate it🙏❤️
They want you to exist, to serve them and build shit for them and bow to them. Elitist dicks.
There are, however, more of us than them.
