33% of schools in Missouri are only open four days per week because Missouri Republicans have refused to fund public schools for 22 years.

Yes, but even write-ins need funding and actual campaigns, else they’re going to have nothing compared to the candidate actually on the ballot. And write-ins take *a lot* of work You’re asking people to memorize a name, spell it correctly, write it clearly, etc… as opposed to filling in a circle.

Nearly 40% of schools here in Montana. State had a huge budget surplus and finally put some money into starting teacher salaries this year, as we were 51st (yes, 51st) in that category in FY 2023-24, according to the NEA. 45th in average teacher salary, 44th in higher ed faculty salary

And a lot that are open 5 days a week really aren’t, because of half days they love to label “collaboration day” which is just code for we can’t afford to keep operations going 5 days a week. It’s so messed up and I feel for anyone in this state with school aged children.
