Democrats aren’t willing to break the law like republicans. They are passive and overly conciliatory and are leaderless. The years mainstream democrats were in office, they never focused on a generation that will/have to replace them. It’s a little too late to start that now.

And then you have a crowd that is resistant to mentoring, because they think they know it all.

Sounds like my work situation w/retiring boomers who’ve failed to pass the baton, squeezed and tired Gen X, and the millennials + Zs who say we’ve gotten it all wrong & they know way more. (In my work situation, they have blind passion but don’t seem to have much more & won’t listen.)

Exactly. I work with a lot of new college graduates and the culture is formed around them. It”s hard to find common ground with them, even in the simplest things.

Exactly - there is no solid strategy and they never prepared for times like this. Don't you think they were under attack since the beginning of the making of P2025? - They should've prepared better.

They have been under attack since Obama was elected. They had 16 years to come up with a plan. 16!! It’s just too late. What the country is up against is a cancer - evil, malignant and truth resistant.

Agree. The real danger isn’t just corruption at the top but metastasis. What starts in the halls of power spreads into every institution and community until the whole body of politics is sick. And no country survives unchecked metastasis for long. We didn’t cut the evil cells on time.

Your BASE IS BLACK WOMEN, WHO VOTED 93% FOR HARRIS. Your base is the voters who vote consistently, even for Dems they may have some disagreement with. Your base doesnt stay home, withhold their vote, etc. Don't get this twisted.

Dems are in the minority in Congress. The constitution gives them no power. What do you expect of them? Real question, lots of people on here are purposely (in my opinion) vague so that they can complain that whatever they do isn't good enough. Then dont vote& complain they're the minority AGAIN.

For the first time in a long time I do feel like some really are fighting back. I had high hopes for the impeachments and for investigations after but nothing happened. That's where the malaise and angst comes in I think. A lot of people have similar feelings and it's valid.

Those feelings might be valid, but politics is hardball & they need to be put aside. As folks said during the Civil rights movement, eyes on the prize.

Republicans depend on Dem malaise & angst. Give thrm this, their voters vote RELENTLESSLY, it doesn't matter whether they agree or not on a few points. Those who say "withholding my vote" & wondering how we got here? That's how.

The investigations were meticulous, the members of Congress & their attorneys that presented it were masterful. It was a valuable record that was created. But without 60 senators willing to vote to impeach, for the moment, it was futile.

They were told they don't need to vote after the last election. Pretty sure it's already over, my date for the end of our democracy is Jan 6th. Once that happened and was not prosecuted between elections we were done. Fight, but realize just voting is probably not going to work.
