All the news is bad…bad bad bad. I just went outside to literally touch some grass. While sitting next to my Verbena, a hummingbird flew around them right next to me. It took him a few seconds to realize I was there before he flew off. It was the break I needed. Fuck Trump.

We were doing our urban farmette tour with the two inspectors to see if we were to be selected as a Maryland Pollinator Garden. Right when we crossed behind the shed on Wilderness Trail two hummingbirds flew up to juice up at the Red Flowers Raised Bed. Inspection over, we were selected.
Hummingbirds are awesome. I had one come visit me yesterday too.
The Mother speaks, all one needs to do is stop & listen.

I garden. It is very calming to see vegetables & flowers growing and being so…normal—doing what they’re supposed to do. I’ve processed & put away gallons of beans & am beginning on the carrots. Being in touch with nature is so healing. I appreciate your stress.
I went to my local farm today with my grandson. We fed the goats and roamed around the orchard. It was just the break I needed.

I miss my hummingbirds! I use to have 5 feeder out and apparently they were the only ones around bcuz I'd get 60-80 at a time fighting over them. (Had to refill daily) I would stand in the middle of them very still & they would fly right up to me. I could feel the wind & vibration from them. Calming

I, too, enjoyed a “being present” break while dancing in the car with a patient for whom I caregive. Ppl with Alzheimer’s (some kinds) only have the moment. It’s pleasant to live in their world for a few hours these days.
Both in my garden and on my walk are full of butterflies. I make wishes every time. Oh and Fuck Trump.

I have 3 hummingbird feeders and 3 bird feeders in the backyard. Have coffee on the patio most every morning and sparkling water in the early evening with my wife. Watch lizards, birds and our dogs run around. Sanity saver.
Same, sat in the garden and a little jumping spider honoured me with a visit. Then he teleported.
People are very stressed by all the bad policy and behavior. We are all in need of self care. Enjoy some positive moments.

I just spent a few minutes tending to a small bird that knocked itself senseless flying into my sliding door. It was a very nice interlude. And it fly off just fine. Nature is fine.
