There may not be much I can do to keep the Missouri GOP from gerrymandering Kansas City, but I also know something: they will dilute their own base. They could lose. Missouri Republicans attempted to do this a few years ago and then talked themselves out of it for that very same reason.

What if people in the great state of Missouri vote with their brains instead of keeping the good ole club? It’s in their own interest.

I’ve been cogitating on this possibility. It is as if gluttony for power leads to delusion.

There may not be much you can do…?!?!You could stand in front of every microphone and camera and call out every lie and crazy-stupid statement & assertion. That is way more than “not much”. At least make an effort, Jess.

Ok, Jess. I do realize that the job that you embrace can be tough in mere normal times. And we are all now sidled with an exceptionally dire moment. I support you in rising to your exceptional self.👍🏽

Only this time they have full support of the traitors in power of the Land. They won't care until it's one of their own who's suffering. Even then, they'll help that one or a few of their own get away with whatever they need & carry on with their BS.

The truth is that MAGA voters can't win primaries or general elections on their own. IF other GOP voters are upset, as we believe they are, and get out to vote, this gerrymandering will backfire.

If they didn't overturn everything we vote for as a state it probably would have worked just fine. Most Missouri Republicans wouldn't have had a problem with them weakening our vote. But Republicans also voted for what they overturned, so there's a path to convincing them their votes are next.

Yet, if you correct a word for them (very gently) they will get totally ballistic, not realizing that you are doing them a favor. Nope, they prefer illiteracy.

The key to effective gerrymandering is to not do too much. I’m hoping GOP excellence in incompetence creates overreach.

Exactly. It’s always okay, but only when it’s them. And what scares me is 77 million or so Americans are silently comfortable with that.

I can't see how they can draw it to consistently get less than 2 dem districts. Even if you slice and dice KC and stl, the state is still no worse than 40/60. They've got it pretty good to over represent themselves already
