I don’t use AI because I’m infuriated for the artists and writers and philosophers who’ve had their intellectual property stolen. I also hate boring and impersonal shit. If someone can’t be bothered to write something, why should I be bothered to read it?

Like it or not, AI is a tool that can help to accelerate your understanding of all sorts of things. Yes, AI gobbles up the information shared by others and does not compensate them at all. But honestly, most of that is in the public domain already. AI is going to be used for evil or good.

Sentiment and connection can only truly originate in humanity. Using technology as a tool to create is one thing, using it instead of using one's own mind and effort can only be described as laziness, plagiarism, and just plain old half-assing it. As an artist, writer and thinker...it's insulting.

I hear you, but you are missing a bigger point. For example, some people want to use AI as a collaborator to help them write better. Think of it like your spell-checker, only more sophisticated. I find it an excellent tool for writing better letters to my members of Congress. That is a good thing.
