Why do they need to do talk about it at all? He's not a politician anymore
Why do they need to do talk about it at all? He's not a politician anymore
Read what I wrote. It's not about him. It's about them, specifically, their veracity and effectiveness as leadership.
Biden shouldn't be involved in it at all. He is neither the test nor litmus paper
I, for one, think that’s a foolish thing to write about. Not the veracity and effectiveness; there are much better ways to gauge those. We’ve got a four-alarm fire out on American democracy, and you’re distracting people with this irrelevant bullshit.
"There are much better ways to gauge those." You're not taking issue with the accuracy of the gauge being used, or you'd offer an alternative. You're just taking a tool off the table. We do have a four alarm fire, & how we should fight that fire, and who should lead is certainly relevant.
The Presidential election—assuming we even have one—is three-and-a-half years from now. Right now, the focus has to be on Trump. Every day. I couldn’t give a single fuck about what AOC thinks about Joe Biden.
Also, from the manner in which you’ve been responding to this thread, I thought you were the author of the piece.
Defending the status quo isn't effective opposition. Pressuring leadership to change change course or get out of the way, instead of defending the approach that got us here, that's the first step to effective opposition. We, the opposition, have to be the focus. We can't be the status quo. It lost.
Who is defending the status quo here? Not me. I just see no point whatsoever in relitigating Joe Biden.
I don’t want the status quo. I want these old fuckers gone. I want Dem leaders who are young, scrappy and LOUD. I have only one “litmus test” for candidates: What specific actions are you taking *right now* to combat the rise of fascism in America? If you’re talking about Joe Biden, no. Just no.
You're not arguing against anything I have said. It's not about Biden. He's done. I have repeatedly stated that. Reread what I wrote. We're on the same side, but you think your arguing against me.
I understood it the first time, thank you very much. And you’re wrong; we may be on the same side, but I *am* arguing against you on this point. Whether or not it’s “about” Biden, it’s still making him the story, and that is something we cannot afford. I am done having this conversation.
