This is a general question as I try to understand the opposition to AI. How does AI destory the planet compared to traditional data centers? Data centers use closed loop cooling that constantly recycle their water supply. While AI requires GPU, why can't that be closed loop cooling as it is now?

It is unlikely to be successful financially. The compute time needed for this is immense, and it's practically impossible currently to one-shot anything with accuracy. Pieces of the tech involved may be very useful for studios making shows, but not as a one shot generation of any decent quality.

The licensing may not be a problem if they're essentially partnering with the licensing source. If they can get more money than the running cost of the model, then what's left is essentially free money for the license holder. However, I don't think it will make money because
the compute cost likely costs more than a few dollars per iteration, and a single custom show that might require a few reruns to make good would likely cost more than the entertainment value.

unprofitable for all but the largest industrial outfits and hobbyists who do it for subsistence. I see a future where commission art prices crashes for all but the most high-end. And only a few artists who are able to leverage AI for volumes or the few able to create a fan base can thrive.
