Bil’s granddaughter and Glen’s daughter Claire is an accomplished artist and illustrator of children’s books. By and large, accounts of the Keanes are that of decent people and powerhouse talent even if Family Circus was saccharine. I put Bil in the same category as Mr Rogers and Bob Ross.

Family Circus has a WILD history but it's not one that's like, mean or bad. If anything it's a little touching as the Family Circus was passed down as the family business, as it were. The most bad part OF the Family Circus is how reviled it is in television, specifically.

Pretty much anyone who met Bil Keane said he was a great guy (and apparently had an R-rated streak when it came to giving speeches at conventions 😅 )

He didn't like The Boondocks, I remember that much.

And I believe Thelma (the mom) managed the money side of the strip. I think the daughter did, too. So an actual family business.
