Over on the other site the far right are hyping up a violent incident in Dublin City Centre as an example of how scary the city is now and yet frankly the only time I have ever felt that unsafe in the city centre was when they had a riot two years ago. So it goes.
Everything in cities is scary except when large quantities of white men go around smashing everything to make some kind of belligerent point and then that's just fine. This is the world they want.
I don't live there any more, but I've never had a problem walking around in Dublin. I still do it a few times a year. You don't put your bag down, though.
But that's all big cities.
