Yes, masking is as much for societal benefit as for your own protection b/c everyone benefits from your decision to mask. 😷

I'm amazed at how many people--especially leftists, progressives and liberals who say they care about the vulnerable--have chosen to forget "My mask protects you, and your mask protects me."

It’s a tricky message, I’ve always thought, because your mask *also* protects you very well, and I honestly think the deemphasis on that made people think “oh well who cares then, I only want to do things for me.”

You make a very good point. On the other hand, it's exhausting to have to coddle leftists/progressives/liberals like they are toddlers when it comes to something like masking where they should be leading the fight. (At least the fascists are honest about trying to kill us.)
