As always, the ones that shout the loudest about waste, fraud, and abuse in the government are the ones responsible for it. It's been a lie so prevalent that "Government Inefficiency" is accepted as an absolute truth by far too many people in this country.

Efficiency is not a democratic value. Efficiency is efficient for those in control, not the rest of us who live under their management. The push for “efficiency” is a cover for privatization, removal of protections (deregulation), and wealth concentration.

The fraud is in the corporate subsidies and contracts which also conveniently benefit the politicians who approve of them. As we just saw many also benefit from insider trading. It really is a closed loop of corruption and greed.
