@ineslauradawson.bsky.social Hi Dr. Dawson, I saw you on the lateral podcast and was wondering if you would share your hair care routine? I have long red hair also and it's excessively tangled. I love it but don't like brushing it when it's dry. Ouch 😉

Do you possibly have wavy or curly hair? (asking because of the not wanting to brush it when dry). My hair is wavy, so I care for it slightly differently depending on whether I want it to be "curlier" or "straighter" and that would affect my recommendations

Hey thanks for responding, it's wavy and I usually keep it straight. Continued success as a scholar, instructor and influencer, take care. /I removed the cringe worthy replies

If it's wavy and you're worried about frizz, you could try using a leave-in curl cream after washing your hair and while your hair is still damp, it will make it clump and be less likely to tangle

With conditioner with more 'silicones' (usually used in more straight hair routines) they do make the hair more slippery and easier to brush and detangle. I usually detangle thoroughly before washing, and then let it dry like so - unless I want it to be extra straight, then I also brush while drying
