Haven't seen today's yet but I think I'm close to you on most. Only one different is that I found I liked "What is Starfleet?" more than I thought I would. Took an interesting swing that for me largely worked (not fully).

Honestly I thought the story was quite good. I didn't mind the style either (I like when they mess with genre), but I definitely got the feel of 'a show doing a pretend documentary episode' rather than an actual documentary - I know this is a weird criticism!

It was definitely self-conscious at times. I remember this from TNG "Cause and Effect" -- the time loop. Every time they showed the repeated scenes, they shot them from increasingly self-consciously different angles. Was interesting, but forced.
