I had a game in the '80s where your emblem had a Latin inscription. I didn't think about it much, but a friend, whose fancy high school taught Latin, saw it and keeled over laughing. "Semper ubi sub ubi" "Always where under where"

I had another game that was pirate-themed. It referred to loot as "bootle" instead of booty, and I never figured out of it was deliberate.
