when you're into folk music that kind of stuff is inevitable. i think it just reminds me that the music was made and recorded by some real, regular-ass people instead of some megacorp. of course with modern tech and depending on genre its a lot easier to get things "perfect" sounding.
and like, saying perfect pitch with no extraneous sounds is somehow the "correct" or "perfect" way to present music is just a totally alien concept to me. its like saying the texture on an oil painting is somehow an imperfection and perfect paintings should be totally smooth.
Yeah if I cared about perfect pitch I would not have a big interest in indie folk lol
