What's the point of the 50 day delay when there's more than enough evidence of Russia's intentions? Trump wants to give Putin space and time for his summer offensive and himself room to manoeuvre his way out of having to impose any costs on Russia. Sanctions bill delayed yet again by Trump. Useless.

I understood the 50 days are the time allowed to conduct and finish cease fire negotiations after which the sanctions come into effect if Putin doesn't sign the treaty.
