One of the more sad things you will see is how right wingers in the USA have a complete misunderstanding of Indian politics and how right wingers in India have a complete misunderstanding of USA politics. There are right wing Hindus who genuinely believe that Trump would be better for India…….

These are 2 very different countries with very different histories and you can’t take the US political lens and superimpose it on India. Similarly Indians can’t take the Indian political lens and superimpose it on the USA.
