I just feel bad for American citizens caught in this crossfire. It's especially bad when conservative politicians in Canada are scared shitless!

We Americans brought this on ourselves. The MAGAts are responsible, but the rest of us didn't do enough. It'll be at least a generation if we're to recover.

It just sucks that Canadians are suffering because of this too. We didn't ask for any of it.

But this is a test of your character. You'll be disappointed, I'm afraid, when you find an unexpectedly high number of fascist-adjacent in your citizenry.

The PPC is an official part here, and has been for years. Fascist sentimentality already exists.

It's a small group, but it's swaying the opposition in unhealthy ways.

We also had a neo-Nazi run for mayor a few years ago, and she came in third place.

The Premier of Ontario, where I live, called a snap election to get a four-year mandate so "he can stay on top of this". That's how spooked we are right now.

I remember speaking to the woman running in our riding over the snap election yesterday afternoon. She reiterated that.

It's ironic how the tariff situation has united most Canadians. We weren't exactly on the same page before Trump got elected.
