I'm not a lawyer, and I don't work with IP rights, so don't consider this an expert opinion. I don't know where a court would draw the line for infringement. But I wouldn't fight a court case for this.

I think that was a pretty standard design? Iowa has something kinda like that but with a bird from that era. Maybe it was like now when apparel companies put out the same design just tweaked instead of making new art.

Yeah, the sailor mascot and chesty sweater mascot designs were penned by the same guy, so that raises its own concerns.
