I did, back in 2019 I had a conversation about pokemon with a chill skater guy and became mutuals on Instagram. About a month later he got involved in a hit and run and sadly didn’t make it. His killer did face justice but still… I think about him from time to time after all these years…

It is very weird. Has happened to me a couple of times and you know....it feels so weird, specially since I feel it takes a lot for me to make friends with someone new...but when I am building up rapport with someone ans then they just vanish...it feels very bad

That happened to at least one person that was friends with a mutual friend of ours for a small amount of time, knew of him for longer but became friends within a few months of him passing, im trying to remember who it was, I remember them talking about it during one of the online meet ups

While I'm lucky to say this hasn't happened to me, for anyone who has? You forming that friendship was something undoubtedly positive in their life, regardless of how short a time it was, and remembering that friendship too is a good way to honor them. And wherever they are, they remember you too.
