That’s for me :) yeah that’s how I was with shut downs. Then eventually explosions after years of masking. Now just more recognizing and learning to be uncomfortable and ride the uncomfortableness. Also turned back to my artwork/writing. All has helped. I think not suppressing the adhd has helped

And yeah, knowing “this will stop/I need to walk away for a bit” is so much better than trying to tough it out (I no longer have the energy reserves I had before I became physically disabled). 💜💜💜

Not suppressing is good; I get fewer meltdowns, and ppl react very differently when I tell ppl what’s happening to me (it went from “why are you so dramatic?!” to “oh, okay, you are having a hard time”). Everyone feels better. I’m in a hobby w/ a high % of ND ppl, and clear communication helps.
