Watched @netflix.com’s Thursday Murder Club, and it’s a pretty thorough miss. Doesn’t capture any of the book’s charm, makes drastic changes and inserts cliché plot points for no substantive reason, butchers several characters and writes off one of the series’ best. Just mystifying choices.
Was really disappointed by it. It gets Ron completely wrong, wastes Joyce, and removes all of the poignancy.
Right? There’s a reason Joyce is the only character who gets 1st Person chapters. And what they did to Chris and Donna… ugh. I started reading the sequel as a pallet cleanser.
Huh. Never read the books, so I ended up enjoying it a lot.
