We have asked them to be considerate of others and they have thrown a giant temper tantrum because they just don’t want to. They have been asked to care and the thought of it is so distressing to them they’ve chosen fascism.

The words just amplify a bigger concept of leftist moral puritanism. A person can align strongly on 9 out of 10 left-wing issues but have reservations or concerns about the 10th issue and the left will bar that person from their movement. It's the allornothingness that the language enforces.
