People were asked to look out for one another and no one was willing to do it and everyone threw a giant tantrum. That’s the lesson of COVID.

A lot of people where I live were willing to do it though! For a couple years at least. Exhaustion and confusion set in.

My partner and I made it five years without catching COVID, because we use masks/gloves/sanitizers constantly so my crap immune system doesn’t kill me. I haven’t left home for anything but doc appts in over 5 years. It’s disheartening knowing who does & doesn’t care about others.

That's correct. I was not expecting that pervasive level of selfishness in the face of a deadly pandemic.

People were willing to do it, but it was hard and people needed support Then two administrations running took away the supports while telling people that they didn’t need to do it

Literally fucking this. My daughter was undergoing chemo and her oncologist didn’t know if covid would kill her, meanwhile people were losing their fucking minds cause they couldn’t go to Disneyland or get drunk at bar trivia night.

I am so sorry. Our daughter was a toddler at the start. Navigating everything was traumatizing enough, without cancer to deal with too.

Thank you. It was a nightmare, but seeing how willing everyone was to let her die so that their lives could go back to normal was something I’ll never forgive or forget.
