Israel gave up Gaza to the Palestinians. Sadly Hamas took over and their stated aim is the destruction of Israel. They radicalised the population and regularly attacked Israel. Finally 10/7 happened and Israel decided that it was not possible for Israel to be safe with Hamas as a neighbour.
