Additional caveats: Monitor having the issues is an HDMI 2.1 monitor I am running it through an Avermedia Capture Card (specifically the GC575) I have tried a couple versions of Proton (Hotfix, Experimental, 9.0-4) Any help / suggestions are appreciated. I'll continue to dig on my end
Just tried nvidia-driver-535, & for some reason PEAK wouldn't even launch with that version. Weird. I forgot to mention, I'm trying to run this with Vulkan (so the graphics API can be linux native), but I am also testing periodically with DirectX 12 to see if Proton Magic happens
Huh... switched from nvidia-driver-535 to nvidia-driver-580-open, & now I'm getting that issue even on the desktop 🤔🍄 NVidia GPUs, am I right /hj
Issue is NOT due to the capture card. I removed all cables except 1 between my monitor & screen, & the issue persists

Classic. Try to fix things, make them so much worse (screen launches to a seizure level of flashing now). Extreme oof
Extra huh. I went into Big Picture mode (just to see). It was lagging like hell. I exit out. Now BOTH monitors are having issues! Yippee!
Sat here working on typing in the next post, & the displays synced now. Super weird, touched nothing & it is working again.
Gotta be honest. Linux Mint was rock solid stable on my Laptop. The only thing that doesn't work is the Fingerprint sensor (which fprintd doesn't have support, so i'll give it a pass) This experience has been really bleh on my desktop so far.
Considering i cannot launch into PEAK anymore, & things are becoming more unstable as i try to fix it, I'm considering Distro Hopping at this point. Which is a bit disappointing as I have been living with Mint on my laptop for ~ 6 months & was really really happy with it. :s
Its okay! I've heard there's distros like pop OS that has like better nvidia GPU compatibility
