If you could tell us all one part of history we maybe don’t know or misunderstand what would it be
This is a great question The most pressing & least well-known (at least in depth) answer would be the lead up to/early Nazi Germany & the Rwandan genocide. As some of us know, there are many parallels to present-day USA; specifically, the role of media in both cases, & Othering of certain groups.
Yeah I’m starting to realize that and trying to expand my knowledge on both. If you have any sources you’d like to recommend I’d welcome them. Or just anything you want to expand on
“Starting too” is underselling it, especially in regards to ww2, but acknowledging my own ignorance
I'm likely heading to bed soon but I'll reply tomorrow, if I don't, remind me, I've got a few things in mind
No worries at all! Sweet dreams ☺️
Besides ultra-specific stuff that I nerd out on, I'd like people to learn the lesson that we must speak up & stand up for others - like, actually do the work. It's scary, it's hard, but it's so important & for the benefit of *everyone*.
Let’s hear it, give us the dump
I want to take you class and learn things. I’m a terrible student.
Hell yeah I'm not much of a "teacher" but I can get the occasional point & info across
