This is a good time to remind MAGA that JD Vance got rich with an app that helps foreign businesses by US farmland. He will make money off American farmers losing their land.

They’re all just piles of “fell for it” award stickers with a vague sense of sentience.

I donated to Dr. Sarah Taber for NC Com of Agriculture, a brilliant generational farmer who's creative, knowledgable about different ways to arrange commerce and ag. She lost against an entrenched incumbent who's a disaster for NC farming. **The critique was her education** No more sympathy.

In large parts of the country, being smart and knowledgeable is seen as a problem. It’s borne out of resentment and overvaluing “gut instincts.” Successful politicians often play at being a little dumber than they really are. Clinton, W, and Obama all did it. It’s very frustrating.

Interesting take on Obama, how do you figure? It always seemed to me like he projected higher ed, broad knowledge and intelligence.

In the same way that a lot of politicians do. He projected the image of what people thought a professor would be. In reality, he is sharper, more incisive, and certainly less outwardly friendly. Essentially, more like an actual professor.

I donated to her campaign from Washington. The voters in her district are so pathetic, they can see that farmers can’t profit with their current leadership, but they’re so hot to hate science. The main criticism of her is that she has a phd. Fucking ridiculous, no sympathy.

The GOP incumbent is well-entrenched with the big ag companies and had plenty of money and name recognition. I canvassed for her and state leg seats and was able to educate some voters but it’s not a high-profile position.

It was so frustrating to watch from the West Coast, how people swallowed the messaging.

Can I throw in that Sarah Taber is one of the best sources for Agriculture information and is a gifted source that is able to explain agricultural systems and food systems to non-agriculture people. I followed her for years on Twitter and follow her here on Blue Sky. She’s awesome.

Her's was one of only two political signs I had in my yard last election.

Everyone of these clips had me questioning "who did you vote for", "what's your view on universal healthcare", and "what is your position on welfare". White people, white peopling as they do! The welfare state should support me - not you.

So, while I do have sympathy for these farmers - they most likely did vote for this. Also, why should they get welfare payments when those are being stripped or dangerously reduced from many other people in this country?

Trump did this same thing in his first term. We had to bail the farmers out, to the tune of billions of dollars. Apparently, the country was happy with this arrangement. Why else would it pardon Trump for all his crimes, crown him king, and escort him back into the Oval Office for a second term?
